January 21, 2012 at 8:02 pm #114417 Ben PaddonParticipant Favourite question to ask Norm when you see him: “Was it uncomfortable having to wear that H all the time?” January 21, 2012 at 8:34 pm #114420 siParticipant It was to cover that spot. March 8, 2012 at 11:19 am #115767 Tarka DalParticipant So then, Norman. I’ll have to dash this off quite quickly as I’m at work. I’d definitely say I enjoyed it. He did around 70 minutes, almost all new material. The mention of Elvis, his pug, had me thinking we were going to stray back to old ground, but instead we were told a tale of moving dog poo. As ever, he had with him his usual bag of props. Shower caps, carrier bag, random photographs (this time including various newsreaders, Sofia Coppola and Rosamund Pike). The overall all feel was quite loose and improvised, even though it probably wasn’t. For the most part it was a mixture of grumpy dismissals of celebrities (Rowan Atkinson, Andrew Castle) and talk about pop music (Shakira, Gaga, Ellie Goulding). The surprise moment was Norm mentioning Pulled Apart by Horses The best line was “Sci-Fi fans. They’re good at remembering”. What else? Norm is writing a book, he’s half way through. Norm has a DVD, it’s not in the shops. Norm now lives in Wapping. Norm is coming back to Brighton in April. March 8, 2012 at 1:52 pm #115774 siParticipant Thank you Karl. Next – the weather where *you* are… March 8, 2012 at 2:01 pm #115777 Tarka DalParticipant Bootiful. March 8, 2012 at 2:08 pm #115778 Tarka DalParticipant Oh, and Norm’s kids are now 19 and 21. Feel Old. March 8, 2012 at 3:36 pm #115780 pfmParticipant Any mention of Dwarf? March 8, 2012 at 3:54 pm #115783 AlexParticipant Any mention of Dwarf? I can’t speak for the show that Karl saw, but Norm’s new DVD has several. March 8, 2012 at 4:15 pm #115784 ori-STUDFARMParticipant On the cover….It reads “Red Dwarf’s Holly” in brackets after every printing of Normans name and at the bottom of every promo flyer….and I think he even has it printed on his pants March 8, 2012 at 4:31 pm #115786 Tarka DalParticipant > Any mention of Dwarf? Sci-Fi fans. They’re good at remembering. That’s as close as he went. I had hoped for a few words and to buy the DVD, but he scarpered pretty sharpish to grab the 10.17 back to London Bridge. March 8, 2012 at 5:10 pm #115788 Ben PaddonParticipant I found a binder on the bus the other day. On the inside it said, “IF LOST PLEASE RETURN TO NORMAN LOVETT (RED DWARF’S HOLIDAY) AT [ADDRESS REDACTED]. NO CASH REWARD.” Author Replies Viewing 12 replies - 51 through 62 (of 62 total) 1 2 Scroll to top • Scroll to Recent Forum Posts You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
