The e-mail sent to ScutterCast read >”we are running an exciting and intense social media marketing campaign, part of which involves a competition fans can enter in order to win prizes (one of which is a pair of free tickets to this year’s Digital Jump conference).” BTW, I think he means Dimension Jump. >”We have some exciting news about a Red Dwarf Youtube competition taking place to mark the launch of the new Red Dwarf ‘Back to Earth’ room on iTunes, on Monday 22nd March. Not only will price promotions be running in the Red Dwarf room on the iTunes store for a limited time, but you could win free Red Dwarf content, all through accessing the Red Dwarf channel takeover on Youtube.” >”To participate in this competition, we’d like to see your impersonations of characters, classic moments and one-liners from Red Dwarf. Not April….he’s not very good with details, is he? :) March 19, 2010 at 9:40 am #109111 Seb PatrickKeymaster Er, we should probably have this on the front page instead of blathering about cancelled conventions, shouldn’t we? March 19, 2010 at 11:25 am #109113 JoParticipant Yup, get it on the front page! ;o) Here’s the info that I’ve been dutifully spreading around the interwebs: On Monday 22nd March a Youtube competition will be launching to mark the arrival of Red Dwarf: Back to Earth on iTunes. To compete, entrants will need to submit an impersonation of a Red Dwarf character ? videos can be posted to the Red Dwarf channel takeover on the BBC Comedy Greats Youtube channel once the competition launches next Monday. So in the meantime get practising ? top prizes up for grabs include a pair of free tickets to Dimension Jump and lots of Red Dwarf goodies. The competition will be judged by the Red Dwarf team at Grant Naylor Productions. To keep up to date on the competition, you can become a fan on the temporary Red Dwarf: Back to Earth fanpage: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Red-Dwarf-Back-to-Earth/365550116519 “ March 19, 2010 at 1:56 pm #109114 Seb PatrickKeymaster Stick a fork in it, it’s done.
