Series VII ~ The Hour Long Version

OBOOM – series vii 1 hr.mp4

Challenge completed! It’s actually a minute shorter than the Series VIII version!

Things to look out for in this version:

We now open with the “Ouroboros” prologue before cutting into Lister’s video diary – except instead we just have the “By the way, we’re in space” section.

Tikka now takes place in entirely in Dallas, with the night scene cut out. As soon as the Dwarfers realize their mistake, they jump back and fix it straight away.

Stoke – cut the Nazi universe sequence, trimmed the medieval scene and decided to have Lister, Cat and Kryten witness Ace’s death as well as Rimmer. Cut the funeral scene, but Lister’s eulogy plays over the planet of Aces sequence.

Ouroboros – No GELFs. The Linkway just collapses naturally. Cut Rimmer’s cameo. Cut Kryten’s tetchiness.

Duct Soup – just a couple of scenes to establish Kochanski as being part of the crew now.

Blue – only the dream sequence and the Rimmer Experience remain.

Beyond a Joke – Jane Austin land without Kryten’s taking the sisters out, culminating in the tank, and then Kryten’s head blowing up – without the obviously fake head.

Epideme – Epideme is limited to only one scene, and the arm chopping sequence is successful, ending with Cat’s “Buddy, you look great!”

Nanarchy – Begins with Kochanski’s “There must be a solution to this.” New montage as Starbug flies back to the ocean world. Cut the buggy scene. Basic trims before the Series VIII version of the cliffhanger.

And that’s yer lot! I’m actually very pleased with this. Series VII was definitely a lot more fun than VIII.
