I find it hard to believe that BTE happened 3 years ago… October 21, 2012 at 12:21 pm #202675 ori-STUDFARMParticipant The Dave commisioning of the scripts for RDX was ‘unofficially’ announced at DJXV. Not long after BtE aired in 2009…Seems weird that, after the apparent rush of BtE with it’s non-too distant deadlines and such, that RDX didn’t get aired until the latter part of 2012. I wonder if this 3 year cycle may become the norm for Red Dwarf. RDXI in 2015 anyone? October 22, 2012 at 11:41 pm #202767 Pecospete666Participant Strange Review http://www.drake.org.uk/2012/10/wossy-advertising-sky-red-dwarf-x-best-series-to-date/ November 1, 2012 at 8:29 pm #203233 HelloMabelParticipant http://www.londonscreenwritersfestival.com/whats-on/sessions/red-dwarf-redux Wish I could have been there. But £299! It’s no wonder none of us attended. From the speakers/bios page: “Robert is possibly best known as the worlds most famous hologram ‘Kryten’.” Oh dear… November 2, 2012 at 3:33 am #203250 JonsmadParticipant I dont want your shoes. I want a stir-master. November 2, 2012 at 3:58 am #203254 Pecospete666Participant Jonsmad your on top of things! November 8, 2012 at 9:22 am #203470 NoFroParticipant Always happy to see a new interview with our favourite person: Doug Naylor interview: Red Dwarf X, future episodes, and more… November 8, 2012 at 9:46 am #203471 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Doug must be so fucking sick of telling the Back to Earth story. Interesting review, mind, and he seems to be suggesting that there’s less of the movie script in this episode than we’d assumed… November 8, 2012 at 9:54 am #203472 NoFroParticipant It’s a very good tease for tonight’s episode, which is definitely a good thing, but not much new. November 10, 2012 at 12:59 am #203588 siParticipant Not found through Google, but worth sharing, I think: http://mikedaws.deviantart.com/art/Red-Dwarf-Model-336739351 November 16, 2012 at 5:26 pm #203899 NoFroParticipant So that interview that Ken Plume did with Richard Naylor was rather good wasn’t it? http://www.asitecalledfred.com/2012/11/14/richard-naylor-ken-plume-chat/ Some of the stuff will overlap with the DVD docco I’m sure but Richard seems intent on not spoiling too much from it and since the docco isn’t an hour and a half interview with Naylor Jnr, I expect that there’s a lot of extra stuff in this. November 16, 2012 at 6:39 pm #203900 Jonathan CappsKeymaster It’s good but there’s a huge amount of shit talked about framerates and the hardcore fans apparently wanting the show to look “shitty”. November 19, 2012 at 9:43 am #204034 NoFroParticipant Red Dwarf X: a celebration YAY. I’m glad an article like this exists. November 19, 2012 at 12:38 pm #204052 siParticipant My brother sent me this email (via GoogleMail…) Look at this on eBay, bloody awful haha Check out this item I found on eBay: End time: Dec 5, 2012 8:26:01 AM Item: Blue Midget Red Dwarf UK Spacecraft Kiln Dry Wood Model URL: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=390121386066 Alt URL: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Blue-Midget-Red-Dwarf-UK-Spacecraft-Kiln-Dry-Wood-Model-/390121386066 I wouldn’t say that it’s “bloody awful”, but I certainly wouldn’t buy it… :/ November 20, 2012 at 8:06 pm #204139 siParticipant Oh my God. That model guy’s done Starbug and Red Dwarf, too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Starbug-1-Red-Dwarf-TV-Spacecraft-Kiln-Dry-Wood-Model-Large-/390393921621?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5ae54a8055 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Red-Dwarf-Mahogany-Replica-Wood-Model-Spacecraft-Large-New-/390416101036?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5ae69ceeac November 20, 2012 at 9:12 pm #204142 ReeceParticipant Oh my God. That model guy’s done Starbug and Red Dwarf, too. They’re actually pretty good. November 20, 2012 at 9:30 pm #204143 siParticipant There’s too much ‘detail’ on the Starbug, not enough on the Dwarf. November 20, 2012 at 10:01 pm #204146 Danny StephensonKeymaster It terms of them being a wooden carved object, it’s obvious that effort has been put in but I just don’t like the style of them… November 25, 2012 at 1:18 pm #204578 siParticipant Not found through a Google search, but I spotted this on DeviantArt, and have to share it somewhere, because I think it’s stunning. Spot the other ships from BBC shows… http://chrisofedf.deviantart.com/art/Here-s-to-the-BBC-331448446 November 25, 2012 at 9:30 pm #204586 Ben PaddonParticipant Aaaand now it’s my Facebook banner. November 27, 2012 at 11:08 am #204653 NoFroParticipant Red Dwarf’s 10 best supporting characters I’m sure most of you will have seen this but this seemed the best place to discuss it. Have to say I don’t agree with a lot of the choices. I preferred characters such as Pree, Hogey and Taiwan Tony Dominator Zlurth to Confidence and Talkie Toaster and, as great as the Polymorph is, I hardly watch Polymorph because I love the Polymorph and treasure all the scenes it’s in. I watch it because I love what it does to the characters. And even if people just to ignore X, where’s Nirvanah Crane, the Series VI simulant or Timothy Spall’s Andy? Far more worthy of the list than some of those choices, in my opinion. Btw Si, that DeviantArt pic is indeed nice. November 27, 2012 at 11:17 am #204654 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Ah, the old, “why doesn’t your Top Ten include stuff I like?” comment. November 27, 2012 at 11:50 am #204657 NoFroParticipant Well if they’re allowed to claim that they’ve listed the series 10 best supporting characters, then surely I’m allowed to claim otherwise :) Plus these things are usually written to inspire discussion. November 27, 2012 at 11:59 am #204658 Ian SymesKeymaster No, these things are usually written because you can do the whole article in your lunch break and still have time to go and get a pasty. November 27, 2012 at 12:14 pm #204659 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Have to confess, I didn’t actually read it. I just looked at the pretty pictures.* At least DoG don’t spread their Top Tens over ten pages like What Culture. *Aside from the shot from Camille, which looks horrendous. November 27, 2012 at 12:18 pm #204660 Ian SymesKeymaster When DoG first launched, it was nothing but top ten lists – at least there’s plenty of proper articles there too these days. November 29, 2012 at 2:55 pm #204707 Pecospete666Participant http://www.iticket.co.nz/events/2013/feb/red-dwarf-nz-convention What’s a NZ dollar worth? Is it the same as an Aussie dollar? November 29, 2012 at 5:02 pm #204717 Pete Part ThreeParticipant http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert/?Amount=1&From=AUD&To=NZD November 29, 2012 at 7:24 pm #204730 Pecospete666Participant Nice widget thank you! April 17, 2013 at 10:07 pm #206963 Nick RParticipant Mark Kermode has never seen an episode of Red Dwarf. Not really surprising, given that there aren’t many things of which he has seen episodes… April 18, 2013 at 4:49 pm #206970 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Mark Kermode is a shit. April 18, 2013 at 7:41 pm #206973 siParticipant KERMODE SOUNDS LIKE COMMODE HAHAHAHAHA April 18, 2013 at 11:13 pm #206976 genericnerdyusernameParticipant Kermo-Kermo-Kermo-Kermo-Kermodeisashit. … To the tune of “What a Wonderful World”. Because expectations are made to be inverted. April 18, 2013 at 11:14 pm #206977 genericnerdyusernameParticipant Um…subverted. Damn, ruined a post with my own hasty fingers and lack of reviewing whatever it is I’m writing AGAIN. April 19, 2013 at 1:45 pm #206981 Tarka DalParticipant Kermode isn’t his real name. He chose Kermode. April 19, 2013 at 2:41 pm #206982 siParticipant Named after a poem dedicated to his favourite Muppet. April 19, 2013 at 3:39 pm #206984 RidleyParticipant Oh, G&T. *hands on hips* April 20, 2013 at 9:14 am #206988 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Indeed. May 20, 2013 at 5:44 am #207793 HelloMabelParticipant http://www.reddwarf-x.com/ Stumbled on this via Facebook. At first glance it looked like a site for illegally watching episodes, but the “watch online” links take you to Hulu, and they encourage people to buy the DVDs. So that’s alright, then. It looks nice, if a bit jumbled. The header “Ultimate Red Dwarf Source” is a bit of a stretch. It quotes Cappsy’s Trojan review, though it’s the same quote Seb used on TOS, so no proof the admin have ever visited G&T. The last update was on “Rijen 16, 2012.” May 20, 2013 at 11:32 am #207805 Seb PatrickKeymaster At first glance it looked like a site for illegally watching episodes, but the “watch online” links take you to Hulu, and they encourage people to buy the DVDs. So that’s alright, then. Hmm, I clicked through and picked an episode at random, and was suddenly able to watch Series V episodes right there in the browser… (And I don’t think Dwarf’s on Hulu, is it?) May 20, 2013 at 4:43 pm #207878 HelloMabelParticipant Oh dear. May 23, 2013 at 1:54 am #207956 Ben PaddonParticipant It’s not on Hulu, no. May 23, 2013 at 3:23 am #207963 anniescribeParticipant Ohhhhhhhh, you gone and done it now, Maybelline. May 23, 2013 at 3:13 pm #207972 HelloMabelParticipant > Ohhhhhhhh, you gone and done it now, Maybelline. I done started back doin’ the things I used to do. June 24, 2013 at 4:30 pm #208393 ori-STUDFARMParticipant Have a Red Dwarf Timeline…that I’ve not really looked closely at yet and may actually be total bollocks. I also don’t think it is to any kind of time scale down the side with the episode titles… http://visual.ly/red-dwarf-timey-whimey-time-line June 24, 2013 at 4:37 pm #208394 RidleyParticipant Kolchanski Hilly inexplicably disappears The boys are again 3 million years from Earth as if [Series VIII] never happened Nope. June 24, 2013 at 6:41 pm #208404 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Yeah, I started trying to make sense of it and then gave up. It’s quite pretty, I suppose. July 25, 2013 at 9:37 pm #208866 RidleyParticipant What a weird coincidence! March 8, 2016 at 2:12 am #213461 RidleyParticipant Achenbach… (Nicked from last night’s Last Week Tonight this morning) July 29, 2016 at 1:36 am #214333 Stephen AbootmanParticipant Rob Grant talks Star Trek: Exclusive: Red Dwarf creator talks Star Trek Author Posts Viewing 50 posts - 101 through 150 (of 151 total) 1 2 3 4 Scroll to top • Scroll to Recent Forum Posts You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
