What depressing things have YOU done today? December 18, 2008 at 4:36 pm #87700 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Bored myself stupid (and possibly everyone listening) by waffling through a seminar. December 18, 2008 at 4:44 pm #87701 TheLeenParticipant Worked. Worked. Worked. I’m actually still working my work at work, workingly. December 18, 2008 at 4:45 pm #87702 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Maybe if we all put our heads together the bullet can do down the line. December 18, 2008 at 5:00 pm #87703 Ian SymesKeymaster > What depressing things have YOU done today? Your mum. December 18, 2008 at 6:08 pm #87713 AndrewParticipant Had to find a way to cut a third out of a film script. December 18, 2008 at 6:13 pm #87714 MnoooahParticipant a) Spent an hour wrestling with audio and video deficiencies on a BRAND NEW laptop. b) Reserved xmas boarding for my pets because whereas they would *not* get into every goddamn thing while I am gone, my friends and family almost certianly will. December 18, 2008 at 7:12 pm #87719 ChrisMParticipant Shaved my hair very, very short. I mean practically skin-head short. (But without their political leanings, obviously.) Not really all that depressing I suppose, and it doesn’t look that bad, but I feel a bit self conspicuous. I took to wearing a hat before confronting family. Trouble is, I feel a bit self conspicuous about the hat indoors now too. December 18, 2008 at 9:12 pm #87723 pfmParticipant > Had to find a way to cut a third out of a film script. Just cut out the middle. That’s where all the crap usually resides. December 18, 2008 at 9:13 pm #87724 AndrewParticipant > Just cut out the middle. That?s where all the crap usually resides. Yeah, who needs a second act? December 18, 2008 at 10:08 pm #87726 MnoooahParticipant Crikey, that sounds pretty ill fated. <:( December 18, 2008 at 10:24 pm #87727 hummingbirdParticipant > Had to find a way to cut a third out of a film script. > Just cut out the middle. That?s where all the crap usually resides. Nah. I’d just cut out every third word. More interesting by far. December 18, 2008 at 10:55 pm #87732 TheLeenParticipant > Had to find a way to cut a third out of a film script. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! December 18, 2008 at 11:20 pm #87734 AndrewParticipant > Crikey, that sounds pretty ill fated. Nah – it’s strictly a duration problem. It’s all good stuff. Just WAY too much of it. December 18, 2008 at 11:46 pm #87735 Mr FlibbleParticipant Andrew’s turning Red Dwarf The Movie into a mobisode. December 18, 2008 at 11:52 pm #87736 MnoooahParticipant Ah, that’s a lot better than I envisioned: Andrew’s colleague: Man, this is bad. We have to make this at least a third less awful if we’re going to make it at all. Andrew: Well, there’s really only one way to do that… Unless you wrote it, in which case I apologise for even thinking of it. ;) December 19, 2008 at 12:25 am #87738 PhilParticipant >Andrew?s turning Red Dwarf The Movie into a mobisode. God bless us, every one. December 19, 2008 at 12:33 pm #87739 Ian SymesKeymaster Got to work and realised that the suit for tonight’s party that I was carrying is no longer in my hand. Spent the morning absolutely shitting myself in terror – eventually leading to an embarrassing panic attack in the toilets – before realising that I’d in fact left it on the fucking sofa. December 19, 2008 at 12:35 pm #87740 Jonathan CappsKeymaster There’s probably a joke about being unsuitable or something here, but I CAN’T BE BOTHERED. December 19, 2008 at 12:36 pm #87741 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Today’s TOS update is currently 65 minutes late. December 19, 2008 at 4:48 pm #87746 hummingbirdParticipant > it?s strictly a duration problem Nothing to ashamed of. A lot of guys have that problem. ;) . > Today?s TOS update is currently 65 minutes late. It’s Christmas. They’re pissed. December 19, 2008 at 10:58 pm #87747 Squeaky GibsonParticipant Went in woolies, i’ve been in cemetary’s with more life! December 20, 2008 at 2:25 pm #87752 ChrisMParticipant >Went in woolies, i?ve been in cemetary?s with more life! Ah, but I be there weren’t any zombies behind the till though were there? Or a till for that matter… December 20, 2008 at 2:53 pm #87753 AndrewParticipant The sad truth is I went in to Woolies to take advantage of the cheaper stuff…and STILL couldn’t find anything I wanted to chuck money away on. Which pretty much summarises the reason things got this bad for them in the first place. December 20, 2008 at 3:01 pm #87754 JoParticipant I bought lots of pens from Woolies the other day, I wish I’d bought some pick ‘n’ mix too though… for old times sake! December 20, 2008 at 3:51 pm #87755 hummingbirdParticipant > but I bet there weren?t any zombies behind the till Yeah, 27,000 zombies that are now out of a job. Wish them Merry Christmas while you’re at it, why don’t you? December 20, 2008 at 5:23 pm #87756 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Woah, save a little self righteousness for the rest of us! December 20, 2008 at 6:41 pm #87757 ChrisMParticipant Yeah, 27,000 zombies that are now out of a job. Wish them Merry Christmas while you?re at it, why don?t you? I was just kidding, no malice intended. (I couldn’t resist the graveyard link.) The staff members at my local Woolies I’ve seen there have actually been ok mostly, even pleasant. My apologies to any here affected by the recent cutbacks. We’ve all seen some pretty zonked out faces in shops etc, though haven’t we? Sean of the Dead made a whole extended joke about it. The faces of the girls in job agencies are the worst. Ironically it puts me off going in there to seek work… yes I’m unemployed too. (I tend to rely on the web for jobsearch. Not much success.) I accept it’s not necessarily their fault though, we can all turn zombielike if we’re bored out of our skulls. In short I wasn’t intentionally picking on people facing redundancy. I wasn’t even thinking about that. December 21, 2008 at 9:57 am #87770 JoParticipant I’m in work, on a Sunday and the canteen isn’t even open so no breakfast :o( Fucksticks :o( December 21, 2008 at 1:55 pm #87776 siParticipant I had a chat to an ex-girlfriend about an amusing/embarrassing sexual anecdote which I still remember the date of, and she doesn’t, thus making me realise how incredibly sad I am. December 29, 2008 at 6:06 pm #87942 Ben PaddonParticipant I cycled into work this morning whilst listening to the 2008 Child’s Play CD, which opens with a very brilliant cover of the theme to Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.
