First off I saw the chap who played warden Knot starring in Torchwood. I was surprised as he looked the same as he did in Cassandra. barely aged a day. Now I despise Torchwood like most, it’s the devil’s child, and it’s an embarrassment to the bbc. However I was lucky to catch warden knot while channel hopping. Also I noticed Tony Hawks on an insurance advert. Thought it might be interesting to post. I looked it up and he was in They Keep Killing Suzie, which is actually *quite* good. I must have blocked almost everything about Torchwood series one from my memory. November 20, 2007 at 4:48 pm #125795 Pete Part ThreeParticipant I’ve always thought They Keep Killing Suzie was one of the best titles of anything ever. Can’t remember anything else about the episode, mind. I think I saw Chris Barrie in some show about a leisure centre. Does that count? November 20, 2007 at 5:11 pm #125796 Paul MullerParticipant Saw ‘sister’ Talia Garrett in an advert for painkillers or incontinence pads or something. November 20, 2007 at 5:52 pm #125797 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Ha ha. It wasn’t his sister it was a nun. Do you see? LOL. November 20, 2007 at 6:24 pm #125798 PhilParticipant >Ha ha. It wasn?t his sister it was a nun. Do you see? LOL. Oh! NOW I get it! November 21, 2007 at 12:58 am #125802 Danny StephensonKeymaster Well, I don’t know about SEEING any Dwarf crew. but I have been hearing Chris Barrie doing an advert for Persimmon Homes in West Yorkshire piping through where I work… November 21, 2007 at 4:48 pm #125819 AnonymousGuest Kill Crazy is in some soap or other. Must be Eastenders. It suits his bleak cockneyness. Was watching the 5th Element the other day and was amused to see Captain Hollister as a futuristic New York Cop. Bobby Llewellyn in Bottom… (an observation, not a demand). November 21, 2007 at 5:42 pm #125822 AlParticipant I remember seeing Dr Lucas Mclaren in an advert for walls sausages a couple years back, doing a spoof of the whole Something About Mary dog wrestling scene. Seems that VIII guest stars looooooooooooove the adverts. November 21, 2007 at 5:44 pm #125823 AlParticipant Oh and killcrazy is in eastenders, only now looking like he’s contracted the potato virus…… November 21, 2007 at 6:54 pm #125824 Jonathan CappsKeymaster I think it was Ian (or maybe Mick) who suggested at the weekend that Howard Goodall should present a show called Massive Organs. This HAS to happen. November 21, 2007 at 7:57 pm #125825 Smeg4BrainsParticipant Speaking of Howard Goodall, is there any TV show he doesn’t do the music for? I noticed he does the music for QI as well the other day. November 21, 2007 at 8:22 pm #125827 Tanya JonesParticipant That’ll be the John Lloyd connection, and Howard being generally great, of course. November 21, 2007 at 10:20 pm #125828 Paul MullerParticipant I’d be quite happy if Howard Goodall just did the music for everything ever, including real life. I’d feel much better in general if my pointless existence was accompanied by a stirring soundtrack. November 21, 2007 at 11:06 pm #125829 Ian SymesKeymaster Sittin’ on the buuuuus, sittin’ on the buuuuuuuuuus. November 21, 2007 at 11:23 pm #125830 John HoareParticipant Howard would have to be in Series 1 plinky-plonky mode for my life. November 21, 2007 at 11:37 pm #125831 mickParticipant > I think it was Ian (or maybe Mick) who suggested at the weekend that Howard Goodall should present a show called Massive Organs. This HAS to happen. It was me, but was credited to Mick Symes. November 22, 2007 at 12:51 am #125834 AlParticipant Captain Hercule Platini was in Spooks the other day, as some kind of secret service bod. I think. November 22, 2007 at 12:53 am #125835 AndrewParticipant Matthew Marsh has a huge CV, actually. I like it when he turns up in Hollywood movies and doesn’t overact at all. They don’t know what they’re missing. November 22, 2007 at 2:03 pm #125842 Seb PatrickKeymaster It is true that that role isn’t really funny in the slightest as written, but he makes it so with the utterly ludicrous level of overacting. Good on him. Imdub says he was a Death Eater in one of the Potters, as well… November 22, 2007 at 6:59 pm #125848 Danny StephensonKeymaster > Mick Symes Do you know Ian Capps at all? November 22, 2007 at 7:13 pm #125850 AndrewParticipant Hmm – just caught last week’s The Street – Matthew Marsh was in that, too. In a cab with Tim Spall, in fact! November 22, 2007 at 8:09 pm #125851 mickParticipant > Do you know Ian Capps at all? Yes, we share a flat and have crazy adventures through time! November 22, 2007 at 9:23 pm #125859 Danny StephensonKeymaster does the flat go at 88 miles an hour? November 23, 2007 at 12:17 am #125866 mickParticipant Don’t be so fucking ridiculous. November 23, 2007 at 12:33 am #125867 pennyParticipant >Don?t be so fucking ridiculous. It only goes up to 30 November 23, 2007 at 1:51 pm #125871 Ian SymesKeymaster I can’t believe I’ve only just noticed this one, after nearly a decade… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CzYEvgfl3k (about 1:15 in) – Who was the casting director? – Paul. Paul Alexander. – That old queen! How did you…? Oh, right. No comment. November 23, 2007 at 2:47 pm #125876 PhilParticipant Oh I recognized that right away…I was never really sure if they were referring to THE Paul Alexander, or if they just grabbed a name out of thin air that just happened to synch up with a real-life figure. I still don’t know for sure. November 23, 2007 at 3:11 pm #125877 AndrewParticipant I don’t think their paths have ever crossed. I may be wrong. It does look like someone in clearances was asleep at the wheel, though. Every name in a script has to be legally checked in case it risks referring to someone of the same name in, say, a similar profession. Oops. November 23, 2007 at 3:29 pm #125878 Ian SymesKeymaster > I don?t think their paths have ever crossed. I’ve never heard it called that before. November 23, 2007 at 3:34 pm #125879 Pete Part ThreeParticipant He means his cock! November 23, 2007 at 7:39 pm #125881 AndrewParticipant Heh – the Rhyl Sun Centre is mentioned in 24 Hour Party People. Bless. Every time I watch that movie I expect the camera to pan across the Hacienda and find Chris, Craig and Danny in a corner… John Simm, Simon Pegg, Shirley Henderson, Peter Kay and Christopher Eccleston all in that movie. How long before Coogan plays a Doctor Who villain? November 23, 2007 at 11:12 pm #125884 Danny StephensonKeymaster Anyone fancy doing a mock up of this? I’ll give you a cookie. November 23, 2007 at 11:56 pm #125885 mickParticipant I… cant be arsed, sorry. November 24, 2007 at 12:47 am #125886 Danny StephensonKeymaster > I… can’t be arsed. Aw man, after all the trouble you went to with those ‘other’ pictures… November 24, 2007 at 12:50 am #125887 Danny StephensonKeymaster >Bobby Llewellyn in Bottom? (an observation, not a demand) It’s a requirement!!
