    As seen above. Did this go out before Series 8 was broadcast? Also, why is hologram Rimmer with Kochanski? How does Lister know what a cheque is? How much money do you think was raised from this segment?

    it was recorded in 1998 at the same time as VIII, but broadcast before the series. Rimmer is a hologram in it so they don’t spoil the plot of Back In The Red

    It wasn’t actually the real Lister in this segment. There were intended to be a couple of lines at the end of the sketch, where Kryten would reveal that Lister has been replaced by an alien clone from the year 1973. Unfortunately, the segment was cut because Gaby Roslin fluffed a link earlier on in the evening.
