    Who’s *avoided* watching any of the previous series in the run up to tonight? I don’t mean I-wanted-to-but-didn’t-have-time, I mean deliberately avoided pulling out a DVD/watching it on Dave/etc.

    I did, because I’ve found that watching old stuff in the run up to a new thing leads to making too many comparisons, and I can’t really enjoy the new stuff as I could otherwise do. Anyone else in the same boat?

    I did for the most part, I only watched Series VIII today, yesterday I only watched Series V, VI and VII, the day before that I only watched Series I, II, III and IV.

    I wanted to do a complete re-watch but haven’t had time.
    Watched a few eps last night for the first time in weeks, season 1&2.

    I don’t think I’ve watched an episode since last year. I considered putting one on earlier, but I thought better of it.

    I’m still halfway through a “Futurama with Commentary” rewatch. But I did think it would be bad to watch as I would be more inclined to compare, favourably or otherwise.

    I will most likely watch the whole series again (1-8) then watch BTE.

    One of the only shows that deserves a periodic “with commentary” rewatch.

    The Simpsons and Red Dwarf too I would say. I have certainly seen Red Dwarf with commentary atleast twice.

    The Simpsons isn’t quite as good with commentary, largely because David X. Cohen and John DiMaggio aren’t around for them. (OK, Cohen is there for a few, but not running the commentary like he does in Futurama)

    I didnt watch any of them before BTE. Though as I write this, Im not watching series 2 re-mastered. Random.

    Though the triangular video makes me laugh now :D
