Anyone else wondering what’s happened to ther lovely pre-order? E-mailed Zavvi. They replied:

We always endeavour to have pre-orders delivered to our customers on, if not before, the release date.

Please accept our apologies that on this occasion we were not able to have this with you on the release date.

We are pushing the release date back a further two weeks to allow time for delivery.

    So, just wait a fortnight

I didn’t email as I didn’t realise it was out this week and it isn’t like I’m in a massive rush for it this week but I recieved the same email. I assume they’ve emailed all 2000 people who have ordered it.

Yeah, my brother said he’d got the email, too. I foolishly thought I’d got it because I’d asked about it this very morning.

I get worried about picking up steelbooks nowadays as the quality and durability of the printing on them seems to have really gone downhill.
I’ve got some old ones that are fine but a few of my newer blu-ray ones have started crackling :(

I want to replace my entire movie collection with steelbooks.

It’d be lovely to get Steelbooks for the original series’ (one at a time though, I don’t think my bank balance could cope with them all at once).

Ooh. Despatched this morning. Better try to clear a space on the Red Dwarf shelf.

Mine arrived today. It is quite nice.

I see that it has a 2|entertain logo on it. I thought they had stopped 2|entertain but it turns out not having gone to the website…

2entertain will remain a label for non BBC product and continue to distribute content from some of the UK’s top independent producers, broadcasters and leading talent

So Red Dwarf is clearly in the outside broadcaster category while being a BBC Worldwide production. Interesting to note where the lines are drawn in how TV shows are treated by BBC/BBC Worldwide

Oh yes, mine’s arrived, too. Very pretty. Another one for the RDX collection.

Pretty sure this was sold out but I’ve just noticed it back in stock and ordered myself one:

I want there to be a US release. I’m way too broke to be spending my money on steelbooks, but I’d like the steelbooks to be available to me.
