Here we go… a complete list of insults used in the 52 episodes of Red Dwarf. Many of these are highly inventive, original and amusing, whereas others are mere variations on the word ‘smeg’. Still, there are some interesting findings. The insults are listed alphabetically, and where there is more than one occurance of the insult being used, these are listed chronologically. Eventually, this document will include Red Dwarf Night, the Smeg Upstapes, deleted scenes, maybe even the cast commentary. Stay tuned.
Incompetence will be released in December 2003. However, G&T managed to get hold of an uncorrected proof copy, on which this preview is based. Hooray! But, don’t blame us if anything mention on this page changes for the final published version. You have been warned. Well, you’ve got to hand it to the man. After […]
I emailed him, he agreed, I emailed the questions, he emailed me the answers. And so is the process that let to this interview. Not quite as good as being sat in front of him with a Dictaphone and a notepad but what the hey, this is still an interview with Robert Llewellyn! Enjoy.
On Thursday 7th August, Danny John-Jules appeared on RI:SE. Now, the irritating thing about RI:SE is that it should be very good. It’s really nicely produced; the music and titles are wonderful, and there’s some lovely ideas in it – the lovely Zora reads the news in front of the studio gallery, and then there’s […]
Well maybe not a dark side as such, probably an ‘off-white side’ may be a better description, but here goes anyway. Being one the ‘Older’ fans I have loved Dwarf from the start, the Characters, situations and above all, Humour has been there from the very beginning. Series 1 and 2 were excellent and to […]
Despite having debuted at around the same time as Have I Got News For You, Red Dwarf has been rather less successful. While the former has been promoted to a BBC One favourite and created a widely-recognised approach, Red Dwarf continues to languish in obscurity, unnoticed except by a small number of hard-core enthusiasts. The […]
Jonathan Capps is a student from the North of England and is a regular poster on The Official Red Dwarf WebBoard and is known for airing his comments frankly. He also happens to be the webmaster of The White Hole and the person typing right now. Hello. My Red Dwarf videos, DVDs, books and other […]
From humble beginnings as a small, annual collectors’ fair, Memorabilia has grown into a star-studded event, taking up a huge hall in Birmingham’s NEC. As well as the main fair, usually held in March or April, this year saw the first Summer event, which was held over the weekend of the 26th and 27th of […]
Not to be confused with the hollowed-out book in which Rimmer kept his diary, this alphabet-based compilation originally featured in Red Dwarf Night, and was subsequently released on the Series VII Byte Three video and the Series II DVD. In this document, we go through each letter, detailing the clips and interviews used, and give […]
It’s very rare that we disagree about things, but when we do it tends to be interesting. When we realise that we have opposing views about the setting of Series VIII, we decided to thrash out this article in an IRC session. You can read the full log of that session here. Below is the […]
