I’m a massive fan of Robert’s book “Thin He Was And Filthy Haired”, as well as Red Dwarf of course. A few years ago I moved to Oxford, and only just recently thought it might be fun to go through the book and try to find the various places mentioned, and then try to link them all together into a sort of pub-crawl with any other like-minded Dwarfers who also love Robert’s book. Just thinking aloud at the moment – anyone at all interested in this idea? Although not having read the book (I really should do)… what places are mentioned? September 11, 2012 at 2:16 pm #200699 Ian SymesKeymaster And Rubber Mask, surely? September 11, 2012 at 2:17 pm #200700 siParticipant Well,we’ve *all* enjoyed the rubber mask, but we did promise not to talk about that here. I’m ashamed to admit I’ve never read it, despite owning it for a very long time :-[ September 11, 2012 at 3:57 pm #200706 Jonathan CappsKeymaster I’m ashamed to admit I’ve never read it, despite owning it for a very long time :-[ It’s good, even the bits where he’s clearly making it all up (or lying). Well worth the fiver for the still-being-updated audiobook. :) https://audioboo.fm/channel/rubbermask September 11, 2012 at 7:01 pm #200715 AlexParticipant I’m sort of surprised there has never been an attempt to do a G&T Monopoly board pub crawl. September 11, 2012 at 7:09 pm #200716 Jonathan CappsKeymaster There was a BTLi one years ago. We managed two pubs. September 11, 2012 at 7:21 pm #200717 siParticipant I remember reading about the Smegazine’s Monopoly board pub crawl (with the giant butterflies) years ago. Just thought I’d mention it. *wanders off again* Author Replies Viewing 12 replies - 1 through 12 (of 12 total) Scroll to top • Scroll to Recent Forum Posts You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
