Yes, ChuckleVision with Paul and Barry was back on the BBC this year with six new episodes for the new series, Series 21. And, it’s better than ever.

Here’s the title sequence for the series: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YF2ziLewb9I

Am I happy to see them back or is there a canoo in my pocket?

Did they ever go away? They’ve had continual new series for 20-odd years haven’t they?

I thought they’d only made one episode and just kept on repeating that.

I clicked that link in the good faith it would somehow reference Barry Chuckle being dead. :(

When I found out that RTD had written a couple of episodes in the early nineties, I felt quite faint.

Surely this is a reboot and should be either be Series 1 or 2010. :)

There was no series last year! Actually…if we’re gonna be wanky about it (come on, this is G&T after all), it was on the CBBC channel from 11th December last year but on terrestrial (now there’s a word that feels defunct) in 2010. There was a different episode this series where they had two boys playing the Chuckles at 11-years-old in flashback! It had a longer break between series’ it seems. They haven’t been slacking(…).

Btw there WILL be a series 22!! They only do 6×15 minute eps these days but, still, they’ve got to be written and produced, and even these later ones seem pretty decent to me whenever I catch them (in a fit of ‘oh there’s eff-all on let’s switch to the CBBC channel’).

Last time I caught Chucklevision I had to turn over because of the film effect.

It was horrible. Not because of my usual dislike of it – it was so badly done it actually hurt my eyes to watch it.
