First time I’ve heard of that. Thanks for posting.

Personally I think they should keep away from the Ouija board though. Some things are best left alone…

I wonder if it’s for real or a kind of gag Ghostwatch type deal…

This is going to be ace! As is the Psychoville Halloween episode!!

I hope the League get back together either on stage or otherwise.

Why, because it really works?? I’m not sure how effective it will be for the show, with it being on Radio 4 and all…

Oh, I’m sure a lot of the time it’s just power of suggestion, etc and people’s imagination freaking themselves out.

I’ve reason to believe in some elements of the supernatural though, and I’ve known of people who have got themselves in trouble with this, or other such things which involve communicating with the spirits. (To be fair, in my case the direct experience was seeing the results of people visiting Spiritualism churches. The Ouija board stuff was mostly second/third hand and therefore possibly exaggerated, but both are involved with communication with spirits.)

Thing is, what comes through, might not be what the person is seeking. And even if it is the spirit of a dead person, there’s a reason we don’t communicate with them on a regular basis. We’re not meant to. I know that probably seems superstitious, but as I said, I’ve reason for saying this. Even if one doesn’t believe in spirits there is some reason these people end up psychologically messed up even if it’s just their own imagination running riot. (I actually think the human mind is too robust to just break like that, but point is, if it’s harmful for whatever reason, leave it alone.)

For us the listeners, sure. It’s the people sitting around the table taking part I was thinking about.

I’m not against the investigation itself, (I find that stuff very interesting actually) but I think attempts for direct communication (Ouija board, seances, mediums, etc) should be avoided.
