Reminds me of this old Superman boxset… …ANOTHER vanilla edition, though? Why don’t they just ask us outright to donate funds for the series? Coming soon to all good stores – RED DWARF: Just The Menus. :-) September 26, 2008 at 3:23 pm #85031 Danny StephensonKeymaster *sniggers* September 26, 2008 at 3:36 pm #85035 Zombie Jim UndeadParticipant Excellent. September 26, 2008 at 3:37 pm #85036 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Me: “I’m not going to fucking buy that” TOS: “But look how fucking lovely the cover is!” Me: “Aw, shit.” September 26, 2008 at 6:20 pm #85047 DaveParticipant It is pretty September 26, 2008 at 6:38 pm #85049 Pete Part ThreeParticipant I’m not actually that keen. What’s wrong with standard logo? September 26, 2008 at 9:31 pm #85060 Danny StephensonKeymaster I really like it, it’s very special. September 26, 2008 at 10:38 pm #85066 hummingbirdParticipant It’s very pretty, indeed. But, unfortunately, that’s not enough to justify me buying the same stuff that I’ve already got. 8( September 26, 2008 at 11:59 pm #85068 locusceruleusParticipant Its the bloody logo, what’s the big deal? September 27, 2008 at 12:18 am #85071 PhilParticipant >Its the bloody logo, what?s the big deal? Welcome to G+T. You obviously missed John’s spiel about the logo on the tin can prop in Polymorph. September 27, 2008 at 2:04 am #85075 pfmParticipant No doubt next year will see a COMPLETE Dwarf set, including all extras, fuck-ups, Beat The Geek, the new project et al. Maybe not Beat The Geek actually. I imagine there’s some stupid fucking clause somewhere that prevents that, as a DVD game, being included in a set like that. September 27, 2008 at 6:33 pm #85089 JamesParticipant It’s expected, and will finally catch anyone who hasn’t already bought the seperate DVD’s, but what it does do is keep Red Dwarf on the shelves, it’s visable advertising, I wouldn’t be suprised if there is a little leaflet inside hinting at the new Specials. I can’t wait to see the Special Eps titles! New logo? September 27, 2008 at 7:59 pm #85096 hummingbirdParticipant It would be interesting to know just how well the DVDs are still selling – how many units they shifted in, for example, the last 12 months. September 27, 2008 at 9:23 pm #85100 Zombie Jim UndeadParticipant > I can?t wait to see the Special Eps titles! New logo? That would be great. October 1, 2008 at 11:09 am #85340 siParticipant What about the one on the programme guide years ago? That was awful: http://tvmegasite.net/images/primetime/media/reddwarfprogrammeguidebook.jpg October 1, 2008 at 11:26 am #85346 Danny StephensonKeymaster I have the newest version of that, and it’s not completely awful. Some nice trivia in there. October 1, 2008 at 11:28 am #85347 genericnerdyusernameParticipant Why was the old one awful? October 1, 2008 at 11:39 am #85349 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Because it looks like it’s been drawn by an 6 year old. October 2, 2008 at 6:10 pm #85615 pfmParticipant The usual logo should definitely be used. October 8, 2008 at 3:46 pm #85873 Ben PaddonParticipant I know a lot of people who want to see the show in the US, but who don’t want to spend a fortune on the boxset that’s out here as they don’t think they’ll watch the special features. To that end, I really hope this new vanilla set comes out over here. I guarantee it’ll sell at least… ooh, three copies. No, four.
