Whilst it’s not the name plate, it is a nice section. http://www.therpf.com/f45/red-dwarf-178886/ Creator Topic Viewing 6 replies - 1 through 6 (of 6 total) Author Replies March 12, 2013 at 5:44 pm #206654 KarnieParticipant That’s awesome… isn’t that the bridge?? Man, what I wouldn’t give for a piece of the ship like that…… March 13, 2013 at 10:04 am #206672 Paul MullerParticipant I’m almost certain that’s from the Remastered model – probably part of the chunk that they got rid of whilst hacking it apart for RDX. March 13, 2013 at 11:00 am #206673 MANI506Participant It looks like the remastered model but if it was retrieved in 1996 it’s more likely to be a bit from the series V one. I think it’s from remastered and the dates have gotten mixed up. March 13, 2013 at 11:24 am #206674 Seb PatrickKeymaster Yeah, the dates are odd. ’96 is far too late for it to be the old model (unless they only had, like, quadrennial bin collections), and too early for it to be the Remastered one (which was only taken to pieces last year, and was not that shade of red by the time it was – plus, I’m fairly certain that the drive room bit will have remained on the model that’s still in use!) Could have been a fragment from the rebuilt model for Series V, maybe they just kept the bits hanging around after they’d blown it up. Also, the colours seem to match up quite closely to the sections that appeared a while ago – http://tinyurl.com/bop3z2e – a kind of cherry red over some sort of off white undercoat, so could be part of the original after all. In conclusion: fucked if I know. March 13, 2013 at 4:46 pm #206681 ori-STUDFARMParticipant I thought the Series V one was blown to smithereens? Now I need to rewatch in slow-mo. I also wonder if any of the reasonable sized chunks of the original were put to one side for possible use on other future model building projects?
