We can’t stay with either my Mum or my sister as they both have cats and Michelle is allergic. We need to find somewhere to stay for the three weeks and I’m asking, rather desperately in fact, if anyone is willing to put us up for three weeks. Obviously there can’t be any cats. We’re ideally looking to stay in or near London or Luton so we can do all the touristy stuff and also pop into Luton to visit family and friends. It’s quite dire at the moment, in fact – if I don’t find somewhere to stay very, very soon Michelle has told me she won’t be going. The plane ticket is, of course, non-refundable. Can anybody help us out? Please? March 17, 2009 at 10:48 am #93975 Ben PaddonParticipant Michelle’s allergies are very bad. She moved into an apartment that used to have cats in it. The entire place was blitzed from top to bottom by a professional cleaning company but Michelle experienced allergy-related issues for the first three months she was there. March 17, 2009 at 10:57 am #93977 PhilParticipant I’d certainly offer if I were anywhere near the correct continent. Best of luck man. March 17, 2009 at 10:59 am #93978 TheLeenParticipant I’m totally near the correct continent. Wanna come to Berlin instead? March 17, 2009 at 5:50 pm #93996 hummingbirdParticipant You could come up north. No cats here. Snakes, but no cats. March 17, 2009 at 10:28 pm #94019 CarlitoParticipant Make some Benadryl brownies… March 18, 2009 at 12:25 am #94043 Seb PatrickKeymaster I do live in London, but unfortunately we don’t have the space :-\ March 18, 2009 at 1:12 am #94049 PhilParticipant Seb is no longer interested in the kind of company space used to attract. March 19, 2009 at 12:37 am #94163 Ben PaddonParticipant I appear to be sorted. Hopefully. March 19, 2009 at 1:43 am #94175 siParticipant Sorted? Respect due. March 19, 2009 at 9:04 pm #94241 Ben PaddonParticipant The magnificent David Black is a legend, a king of kings, a third celebratory term of praise. He’s sorted us out with accommodation with a friend of his for at least the first week (he actually went above and beyond trying to get that sorted, and as a thank you I’m giving him a copy of Jump Leads Vol.1). Assuming things go well we should be there for the full three-and-a-bit weeks, but I’d feel comfortable having a back-up option just in case. So if there’s anyone else in London who would be willing to put us up for the second and third weeks (keeping in mind that we might not even need to turn up at all, and also that there can’t be any cats), we’d be very appreciative. March 19, 2009 at 11:03 pm #94254 DaveParticipant That’s right, suckers. And the moral of the story is: appreciate what you’ve got because basically, I’m fantastic. March 20, 2009 at 12:20 am #94264 PhilParticipant >The magnificent David Black is a legend, a king of kings, a third celebratory term of praise. Yeah, but he lost his looks. March 20, 2009 at 1:59 am #94266 Ben PaddonParticipant I’ll have you know he chose that face from the billions available because it happened to be the face of the greatest and most prolific lover who ever lived. March 20, 2009 at 9:29 am #94282 Seb PatrickKeymaster “Most prolific”, certainly. But “greatest”? I don’t know, it’s hard to get expert testimony out of sheep. March 20, 2009 at 9:38 am #94283 DaveParticipant Oh, it’s started. I knew it would. March 20, 2009 at 12:05 pm #94288 JamesParticipant Dave sleeps on the top bunk. March 20, 2009 at 10:32 pm #94329 Tanya JonesParticipant John and I have a spare room (with double airbed) or sofa bed in the front room. We’re in Ruislip and have no cats. Just let me know on Facebook if you need us. March 21, 2009 at 10:24 pm #94360 Ben PaddonParticipant I’m doing so now. You are the Queen of Good, Tanya :) March 21, 2009 at 10:28 pm #94362 Ben PaddonParticipant Which ostensibly makes John the King of Good, of course. I feel I’m very, very close to making a “John Goodman” joke, but I can’t bring myself to do it.
