My girlfriend and I are going to be in England next week (we fly in to Heathrow on Tuesday) and our cat-free accommodation fell through at the last minute. We can’t stay with either my Mum or my sister as they both have cats and Michelle is allergic.

We need to find somewhere to stay for the three weeks and I’m asking, rather desperately in fact, if anyone is willing to put us up for three weeks. Obviously there can’t be any cats.

We’re ideally looking to stay in or near London or Luton so we can do all the touristy stuff and also pop into Luton to visit family and friends. It’s quite dire at the moment, in fact – if I don’t find somewhere to stay very, very soon Michelle has told me she won’t be going. The plane ticket is, of course, non-refundable.

Can anybody help us out? Please?

Can’t your Mum’s cat stay at your sister’s? Or vice-versa?

Michelle’s allergies are very bad. She moved into an apartment that used to have cats in it. The entire place was blitzed from top to bottom by a professional cleaning company but Michelle experienced allergy-related issues for the first three months she was there.

I’d certainly offer if I were anywhere near the correct continent. Best of luck man.

I’m totally near the correct continent.

    Wanna come to Berlin instead?

You could come up north. No cats here.
    Snakes, but no cats.

I do live in London, but unfortunately we don’t have the space :-\

Seb is no longer interested in the kind of company space used to attract.

I appear to be sorted. Hopefully.

The magnificent David Black is a legend, a king of kings, a third celebratory term of praise. He’s sorted us out with accommodation with a friend of his for at least the first week (he actually went above and beyond trying to get that sorted, and as a thank you I’m giving him a copy of Jump Leads Vol.1). Assuming things go well we should be there for the full three-and-a-bit weeks, but I’d feel comfortable having a back-up option just in case.

So if there’s anyone else in London who would be willing to put us up for the second and third weeks (keeping in mind that we might not even need to turn up at all, and also that there can’t be any cats), we’d be very appreciative.

    That’s right, suckers.

And the moral of the story is: appreciate what you’ve got because basically, I’m fantastic.

Yeah, but he lost his looks.

I’ll have you know he chose that face from the billions available because it happened to be the face of the greatest and most prolific lover who ever lived.

“Most prolific”, certainly. But “greatest”? I don’t know, it’s hard to get expert testimony out of sheep.

John and I have a spare room (with double airbed) or sofa bed in the front room. We’re in Ruislip and have no cats. Just let me know on Facebook if you need us.

I’m doing so now. You are the Queen of Good, Tanya :)

Which ostensibly makes John the King of Good, of course. I feel I’m very, very close to making a “John Goodman” joke, but I can’t bring myself to do it.
