We could have it one month of the year each. October 5, 2025 at 6:08 pm #311805 PodeyParticipant Tbh, looking at the photos up close, a year exposed to the elements on this bloke’s drive clearly hasn’t done it much good. Shame it hasn’t been kept somewhere, would be a great asset for Comic Cons to rent out like they do with movie cars etc. October 5, 2025 at 7:09 pm #311806 DaveParticipant Tbh, looking at the photos up close, a year exposed to the elements on this bloke’s drive clearly hasn’t done it much good. October 5, 2025 at 8:02 pm #311807 Dax101Participant Not sure where you would keep it. No one is going to helicopter your garden so its always going to go on the drive. Unless it fits in the garage but it looks a little big for that. October 5, 2025 at 8:47 pm #311808 paintingsParticipant Looking at the picture posted by Podey at the start of this thread, I know exactly (pretty much to the inch) where that picture was taken. In that location, Starbug would have been partly under cover (it was directly underneath the walkway to the front entrance of the building) but the cockpit area would have been almost fully exposed to the elements. IOW, the deterioration wasn’t 100% down to it being on some bloke’s drive for the past year. (Of course, they may have wheeled it out of one of the nearby storage bays to take the photo, in which case you can just ignore my wittering…) October 5, 2025 at 9:33 pm #311809 PodeyParticipant If anything, the back end is worse off than the front….. and Starbug isn’t in great condition, either. October 5, 2025 at 10:16 pm #311810 evilmorwenParticipant do you think they’d deliver to a north london basement flat October 5, 2025 at 11:23 pm #311811 TechnopeasantParticipant Tbh, looking at the photos up close, a year exposed to the elements on this bloke’s drive clearly hasn’t done it much good. I certainly hope they at least tarped it. I probally have the room, but shipping it to Canada would probally raise the cost by a factor of ten… October 5, 2025 at 11:46 pm #311814 Dax101Participant The seller posted about it on TikTok TikTok Video It looks like he really tried to keep it in good condition January 15, 2026 at 11:51 pm #315595 RunawayTrainParticipant It’s back up for sale (same seller I’m pretty sure, clearly the previous sale fell through for whatever reason) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/358103006217 January 16, 2026 at 6:10 am #315605 Quinn: Clochebusters World ChampionParticipant It’s back up for sale (same seller I’m pretty sure, clearly the previous sale fell through for whatever reason) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/358103006217 January 16, 2026 at 9:07 am #315612 PodeyParticipant It is the same seller, if you click the original listening it says they have relisted it. January 16, 2026 at 9:15 am #315613 WarbodogParticipant They found another one behind the fridge. January 17, 2026 at 1:53 am #315633 TechnopeasantParticipant They were just after a replacement leg for their Corgi model and realized the scale was off. April 25, 2026 at 11:58 am #319203 PodeyParticipant I’ve just noticed that a picture of the Starbug is on the event page for Birmingham Comic Con. Can’t find any other reference to it being there but appears to be the case? https://www.creedconventions.com/event/birmingham-comic-con/ April 25, 2026 at 12:08 pm #319204 PodeyParticipant Side note: I’ve also realised that “what became of the big AA Starbug” scans perfectly with “what becomes of the broken hearted”. April 25, 2026 at 4:53 pm #319206 Dax101Participant Did it sell on ebay? April 25, 2026 at 6:37 pm #319207 PodeyParticipant The listing is unclear but it appears not to have.
