Well apparently many expected it to be explained which is why all this confusion started in the first place.

i was expecting Doug to give his explanation in that interview but he just said they were not listers kidneys.. well we could have guessed that doug but that leaves the question of what were they doing there then.

Its likely oddly enough in an interview Doug did a few weeks ago he for some odd reason seems surprised by the fact people still wanna know what happened after Series 8 thinking that the joke in the beginning was gonna stop people asking but no this is a show where people likely prefer continuity and consistency believe it or not

Odd thing, but the way Doug pronounces “Red Dwarf” annoys me. It’s the same on We’re Smegged.
Is it just me?

He says it the same way Americans pronounce “Robin Hood”, emphasising the wrong half. Like Red is just one of many Dwarves he is involved with.

Mind you, if we get any more episodes like Officer Rimmer he can say it however he likes.

Explaining whose kidneys were in the jar was unnecessary, they weren’t Lister’s, that’s all we need to know and most of us had figured that out anyway.

I’m baffled by those complaining about how things need to be explained more this series, and yet when they do explain various situations fully, people generally agree that it’s unnecessary and tedious.
Do you really need everything spoon fed? Do we really need another VIII?
