January 24, 2011 at 9:57 pm #111404 genericnerdyusernameParticipant I agree 100% with Foster’s Home. It’s an amazing tune. January 24, 2011 at 10:12 pm #111403 RidleyParticipant Garth Merenghi’s Dark Place. He’s right. Friend of mine thinks the Man to Man theme is great too. Not that they’ll be agreed with: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Britain’s Got The Pop Factor etc. theme > X-Factor theme The Class The Cleveland Show Beyblade Sonic X Naruto One Piece Pokémon Viva Pinata Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends Smallville How Not To Live Your Life Merlin The Smoking Room Robert’s Web Bruiser I quite like the Enterprise theme too though… January 24, 2011 at 10:25 pm #111405 PhilParticipant One of my suggestions is on your list, but I’ll post it anyway…the theme from The Venture Bros. which just gets more brilliant every time I hear it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3B8Nrw19qEM I also nominated the Parks and Recreation theme, as it’s really grown on me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wI7f4CgATiE Most of my other potential suggestions are on that list already, but I’m surprised to see the US version of The Office and not the UK version, which I think has a far superior theme tune (among…well, everything else): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKTvAP06ECM January 24, 2011 at 10:48 pm #111406 Stephen R. FletcherParticipant For me personally, my favourite TV themes from the past decade (that aren’t listed), or ones that really stick in my head are – – American Dad – Clerks: The Animated Series (maybe not one of the greatest themes ever, but I’ve always liked how short, simple and quite instantly catchy or recognizable it is in such short time) – Fairly OddParents (though I think that technically started in ’98 or ’99) – Phineas and Ferb Some more may pop up in my head later but those are all I could think of for now. January 25, 2011 at 3:02 am #111407 Ben PaddonParticipant The theme to Charlie Higson’s reboot of “Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased)” is a beautiful piece of music. January 25, 2011 at 4:07 am #111408 Arlene Rimmer BSc SScParticipant Guys. Guys. Community, you guys. Seriously. Perhaps I come from a place of bias in saying this, because Community is now one of my favorite shows that ever was, but I think its theme song is pretty catchy, and suits the show perfectly. Also, for what it’s worth mentioning, I enjoy both the theme to Conan O’Brien’s sadly brief stint on the Tonight Show and the theme to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. January 25, 2011 at 5:04 am #111409 JoParticipant I was about to say that Community hasn’t aired over here but then I saw this: “In the United Kingdom, the show began airing on October 5, 2010 on Viva” Viva… So that’ll be why it passed me by then. January 25, 2011 at 2:22 pm #111410 Bob LoblawParticipant Community is indeed one of the greatest shows that ever was. Also, the Friday Night Lights theme is kickass. January 25, 2011 at 6:27 pm #111411 clemParticipant Monkey Dust January 25, 2011 at 8:40 pm #111412 RidleyParticipant Would series 3’s remix of The League of Gentlemen theme count? January 26, 2011 at 1:14 pm #111413 John HoareParticipant Thanks everyone – suggestions added! Any more suggestions, let me know. (Wondering if I’ll have to do the vote in categories, rather than a Top 10…) Oh, and absolutely YES to Foster’s Home too. January 26, 2011 at 2:21 pm #111414 Danny StephensonKeymaster Foster’s Home is a fantastic cartoon, and yes it’s theme is perfect. January 26, 2011 at 3:26 pm #111416 John HoareParticipant Did Sonic X not get on there because it was missed out or because the show itself is blarg? Missed it by mistake, sorry! Added, along with your other two suggestions. January 26, 2011 at 3:38 pm #111415 RidleyParticipant Samurai Jack Horrible Histories (the good one) Russell Howard’s Good News Gavin and Stacey? The Peter Serafinowicz Show Sherlock Teen Titans Futurama remix Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks Did Sonic X not get on there because it was missed out or because the show itself is blarg? January 26, 2011 at 3:41 pm #111417 RidleyParticipant I should stop hitting the edit button. For several reasons. Balamory though. January 26, 2011 at 5:29 pm #111418 DanodinParticipant I thought the Downton Abbey theme was pretty good…. Also, Little Dorrit (starring the devine Claire Foy…*sigh*) I love little lush piano themes like that. At a complete contrast, I also liked the theme of the Frank Skinner sitcom, ‘Shane’ :P January 28, 2011 at 11:21 am #111424 Smeg4BrainsParticipant How about Lost? January 28, 2011 at 11:58 pm #111428 RidleyParticipant How about Lost? YES January 30, 2011 at 3:10 pm #111431 SeeYouAtThePartyRichterParticipant Oh, sod it. Hippies was 1999 wasn’t it? January 31, 2011 at 12:27 pm #111435 John HoareParticipant Oh, sod it. Hippies was 1999 wasn’t it? Yes. I share your disappointment, though. Anyway – updated again!
