And there’s nothing wrong staying up past midnight to watch It on DVD while dribbling snot over your laptop. March 20, 2008 at 9:36 am #121783 Danny StephensonKeymaster Trap Door falls into this category of “seriously good things to watch in bulk when you’re ill”. Never fails to crack a smile out of me… March 20, 2008 at 9:38 am #121785 Ben PaddonParticipant Yep. Has been for ages. March 20, 2008 at 10:58 am #121788 Tanya JonesParticipant Marleen: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Count-Duckula-Complete-First/dp/B000F5S23M/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1206010644&sr=8-1 I *heart* Cosgrove Hall Productions. I used to live on the same road as them, y’know. They had large models of Duckula and Igor in reception :) March 20, 2008 at 11:03 am #121792 thomasaevansParticipant Series 1, 2 & 3 are all out on DVD. And Woolworths online is the cheapest place to get em. March 20, 2008 at 1:09 pm #121799 TheLeenParticipant Yeah I looked it up today. Apparently the German “complete” (not really complete but almost) box was 99 euros two years ago, and now it’s only 35. But there’s no English sound on there (let alone details) and the last 13 episodes are missing for no apparent reason… March 20, 2008 at 1:14 pm #121801 siParticipant Hmm. My dad got me a Duckula DVD a couple of weeks ago. I shoved it on cause I loved as a kid and was SO disappointed. Rose tinted memories… March 20, 2008 at 2:04 pm #121803 John HoareParticipant If anything, I find Duckula more amusing now than I did as a kid. I get a lot more of the jokes, and I just generally appreciate the production more. But then, very little of the stuff I loved as a kid disappoints me now – in general, if I loved it at the time, I love it now. Oddly enough, the only couple of things that have disappointed me are adult sitcoms – Waiting For God (the series, not the Dwarf episode) and 2.4 Children were both nowhere near as good as I remember. Still: CLARE BUCKFIELD. March 20, 2008 at 2:07 pm #121806 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Didn’t she have a twin sister and they were both in Grange Hill? March 20, 2008 at 2:10 pm #121808 John HoareParticipant I think so, and I want to do them both immediately. March 20, 2008 at 2:16 pm #121809 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Lovely stuff. I just wiki-ed (!) it. Her twin sister is called Julie. I learnt on my travels that the orginal Jenny (Georgina Cates/Clare Woodgate) was married to Skeet Ulrich. Which is nice. March 20, 2008 at 2:20 pm #121810 pennyParticipant The Venture Bros. is quite good to watch when stuck in bed too…ooooh, Dangermouse (don’t have my Kid classic dvds so can’t watch :( ). March 20, 2008 at 5:27 pm #121819 Danny StephensonKeymaster Weren’t all of the kids from 2.4 Children and their brothers/sisters all in Hollyoaks at the same time at one point? I can’t believe I used to watch Hollyoaks… March 20, 2008 at 9:02 pm #121826 pennyParticipant >I can?t believe I used to watch Hollyoaks? Quite afew people can’t believe they used to watch Hollyoaks and some don’t believe that they still watch Hollyoaks…is tv that bad that you are willing to watch such programmes!? (That’s what I would like to ask). If you watch Hollyoaks…sorry, but I just don’t like it. March 20, 2008 at 10:21 pm #121829 Pete Part ThreeParticipant I don’t have much against it other than its Sunday omnibus starts at 10am and doesn’t finish until THE END OF TIME ITSELF. March 21, 2008 at 3:23 am #121842 John HoareParticipant Interestingly, RTD has gone on record as saying he loves Hollyoaks – he thinks in the last two years it’s changed from the usual dullness to something really great and interesting. I don’t watch it, so I can’t comment. March 21, 2008 at 4:21 am #121843 SomebodyParticipant Yes, but RTD thinks Catherine Tate is a good idea… March 21, 2008 at 6:14 am #121844 John HoareParticipant As I think I’ve said before, I still think Tate will be fine in Who – and quite possibly really really great. Still can’t stand her sketch show, but I enjoyed her in The Runaway Bride, and the publicity photos that have been coming out of Cardiff give me lovely warm feelings. Not long to see whether egg and my face will be in alignment, anyway. March 21, 2008 at 9:28 am #121846 Pete Part ThreeParticipant >Yes, but RTD thinks Catherine Tate is a good idea? And Deus Ex Machinas. KIDDING! April 5, 2008 at 8:53 pm #122179 John HoareParticipant Not long to see whether egg and my face will be in alignment, anyway. They are, incidentally.
