    An obvious choice:

The newer Grange Hill theme is probably my favourite theme tune of all time:

Went to see a stage production of this (God knows how that worked) when I was about five, but couldn’t get in, it had sold out. I cried for a good hour or two.

    Not sure about this, mind.

    Another classic here.

I can think of *loads* of 80’s themes that would be perfect for this thread. And that’s before we even get to Maid Marian.

    Yeah.

Still gutted I didn’t see it. Going to have to see if I can find any info about it, check that it actually happened.

Anyway, back on topic. Great TV themes from my childhood. This is a doozy.

While searching for that I also found the most disturbing thing I’ve ever seen. Be warned, you can never unsee this.

999 was a brilliant theme. Using a keychange to denote a doppler effect as the ambulance passes you.

I remember getting a brilliant reply from the composer as to how it was made but it was on Youtube Messaging which I think has completely disappeared.

    OK another theme then:

I used to watch this at my Nan and Grandad’s on a Saturday morning after I’d stayed the night. Always kinda brings a little lump to the throat.

I always loved the opening to The Mary Whitehouse Experience. The end credits where the whole show rewound was cool too.

If the rest of the show had been directed like that opening sequence, it would have been incredible.
