November 14, 2012 at 10:06 pm #203813 NoFroParticipant This sounds great. If I was at home and not at uni then I’d more than likely attend. November 14, 2012 at 10:12 pm #203814 JoParticipant >I wonder what the other two episodes besides Back to Reality will be. Don’t know, but I’d guess Gunmen and Dimension Jump? November 14, 2012 at 10:20 pm #203815 Seb PatrickKeymaster We could seriously kick arse on that, surely. Although it’d be funny if a bunch of us turned up and somehow contrived to lose. Probably safest just to assume we’d win rather than trying to prove it. November 14, 2012 at 10:24 pm #203816 JoParticipant I’d love to go, but I’m probably going to still be in Stockport (Birthday weekend-wise). November 14, 2012 at 10:56 pm #203819 AlexParticipant I have tickets to something else that night but I could possibly be persuaded to drop them for this is there are some more people up for it. November 15, 2012 at 2:46 am #203823 peas_and_cornParticipant Lister likes curry. I think Rimmer likes soup. November 15, 2012 at 2:53 am #203824 HelloMabelParticipant > Lister likes curry. I think Rimmer likes soup. Well the rest of you might as well pack it in; peas_and_corn’s got the quiz in the bag. ;-) November 15, 2012 at 7:40 am #203828 Ben PaddonParticipant Count me in! I know every line of every episode. NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER SURRENDER! November 15, 2012 at 10:17 am #203832 Ian SymesKeymaster We are totally doing this as Team G&T. All those who post here are welcome to join us (he says, safe in the knowledge that Pecospete is on another continent). TEAM G&T Ian Symes Jonathan Capps [your name here] November 15, 2012 at 11:57 am #203849 takerdemonParticipant Sounds daft but does anyone know the limit of people per team? If I’m welcome as a G&T n00b then I very well make an appearance. I won’t be dead weight, I promise! November 15, 2012 at 12:01 pm #203850 Seb PatrickKeymaster I’ll see if I can make it. November 15, 2012 at 12:27 pm #203854 Ian SymesKeymaster No idea, but the event itself is limited to 60 – I’d guess it’ll either be 10 teams of 6 or 12 teams of 5. If needs be, we can always double our chances of victory by entering Team Ganymede and Team Titan… November 15, 2012 at 12:28 pm #203856 siParticipant *books train to London* November 15, 2012 at 2:40 pm #203859 StephenSimpsonParticipant Hmm…I would love to do this…I’ll give it some thought. November 15, 2012 at 3:32 pm #203862 CackThosePantsParticipant Sorry can’t make it. Have a good one or two. November 15, 2012 at 5:15 pm #203865 Paul MullerParticipant Right, this is just down the road from my house so I am definitely going. Um, can I be in your team? November 15, 2012 at 6:07 pm #203867 pfmParticipant People who live in the south. November 15, 2012 at 7:49 pm #203868 Ian SymesKeymaster Paul – you are IN. November 15, 2012 at 8:07 pm #203869 HelloMabelParticipant I’m really looking forward to the write-up of this. :) November 15, 2012 at 8:09 pm #203870 siParticipant I’m really looking forward to the write-up of this. :) It’s the Live Dwarfcast that I’m eagerly awaiting. November 15, 2012 at 8:10 pm #203871 HelloMabelParticipant Oh yes. November 15, 2012 at 10:16 pm #203872 JoParticipant ADD ME PLZ! November 15, 2012 at 10:40 pm #203873 Seb PatrickKeymaster Fairly certain I’ll be COMING to this. I’ll sort out my ticket when I’m at a PC tomorrow. November 16, 2012 at 11:36 am #203888 AlexParticipant Ok, I can make it now, but in guessing your limited to teams of 6? November 16, 2012 at 11:42 am #203889 Ian SymesKeymaster Yes, six is the maximum, but if we get a couple more we’ll split into two teams. I’ll put you down. You’re a traitor to Gazpacho Soup. November 16, 2012 at 12:03 pm #203890 AlexParticipant Well if not its not a problem as I do still have tickets to something else anyway. November 19, 2012 at 10:21 am #204036 takerdemonParticipant Ticket secured! Really looking forward to this… gonna have to brush up on my Dwarf knowledge this week. On a side note, there is a small chance that I will be called in for ‘urgent’ surgery in the next week, nothing serious but serious enough that they’re calling it urgent apparently. Anyway, in the unlikely event that I’m unable to attend, if there is a person that wants to be a reserve, I’ll gladly e-mail you my ticket if you send me an e-mail address to do so. The ticket says non-transferrable and has my name on it but in all honesty, they’ll just scan it and let you in! We know how these things work! November 23, 2012 at 8:14 pm #204487 AlexParticipant So with this being only a couple of days away is anyone else thinking of going? If it’s just sitting at 7 as it is at the moment then i’ll sit this one out. November 23, 2012 at 9:36 pm #204497 takerdemonParticipant We can split into two teams if we can get at least 8 of us unless any other G&T’ers object? I know we’re going for glory here! November 25, 2012 at 11:51 pm #204592 takerdemonParticipant After the hijinx of late from those since banished, I think it’s a good thing to share positive thoughts about G&T. So I went to this event tonight and I must say, everyone I met was fucking fantastic and so welcoming. I was a little apprehensive about attending because I didn’t know a soul but after about 5 minutes, I felt as comfortable as can be. It might aura destroying for some but team G&T were all top people and I’m now thoroughly looking forward to busting my DJ cherry in 2013. A big thank you to Ian, Cappsy, Seb, Paul, Bill, Lee, Angela and everyone else I shared a word with for making it a great night; I’ve now come to regard you as people I met. Oh and we bloody won by some distance too, Cashback!!! November 26, 2012 at 12:44 am #204596 Danny StephensonKeymaster What was the prize? Nobody tells me nuthin… November 26, 2012 at 1:02 am #204598 Ian SymesKeymaster The prize was a round of drinks. We won the fuck out of that quiz. 58/60. November 26, 2012 at 1:49 am #204599 ReeceParticipant What were the two incorrect answers? November 26, 2012 at 7:46 am #204602 Seb PatrickKeymaster Ian got an SCD wrong. And we lost half a point for not putting “Mimosian” in front of “anti matter chopsticks”, and half for not knowing JM Barrie wrote The Admirable Crichton. November 26, 2012 at 7:50 am #204603 Ian SymesKeymaster The SCD was one digit out – we put down the number for traversing an asteroid belt without deflectors, rather than not wearing a ginger toupe. We would have got full marks for Mimosian anti-matter chopsticks had Seb not overruled my use of the word ‘Mimosian’. November 26, 2012 at 1:11 pm #204618 CackThosePantsParticipant Thanks everyone. Great night. All in all, a 100% successful trip! * Accept for Team G&T which was a 96.66666666666667% successful trip! November 26, 2012 at 3:01 pm #204621 Ian SymesKeymaster Hold on, were you there?! November 26, 2012 at 4:29 pm #204628 siParticipant Hold on, were you there?! Yes, CackThosePants *is* Lee Cornes. November 26, 2012 at 4:45 pm #204629 Ian SymesKeymaster A billion piece jigsaw finally falls into place. November 26, 2012 at 7:51 pm #204634 CackThosePantsParticipant > A billion piece jigsaw finally falls into place. All in all, a 100% successful trip! November 27, 2012 at 1:01 pm #204661 anniescribeParticipant This revelation is kind of like watching the guy realize 45 years later that he was standing next to Zapruder in Dallas. :-D November 27, 2012 at 9:14 pm #204668 Danny StephensonKeymaster This revelation is kind of like watching the guy realize 45 years later that he was standing next to Zapruder in Dallas. :-D He was a shit character to be fair, are they bringing him back in the new series?
