I wonder what the other two episodes besides Back to Reality will be.

This sounds great. If I was at home and not at uni then I’d more than likely attend.

Don’t know, but I’d guess Gunmen and Dimension Jump?

We could seriously kick arse on that, surely.

Although it’d be funny if a bunch of us turned up and somehow contrived to lose. Probably safest just to assume we’d win rather than trying to prove it.

I’d love to go, but I’m probably going to still be in Stockport (Birthday weekend-wise).

I have tickets to something else that night but I could possibly be persuaded to drop them for this is there are some more people up for it.

Lister likes curry. I think Rimmer likes soup.

Well the rest of you might as well pack it in; peas_and_corn’s got the quiz in the bag. ;-)

We are totally doing this as Team G&T. All those who post here are welcome to join us (he says, safe in the knowledge that Pecospete is on another continent).

Sounds daft but does anyone know the limit of people per team?

If I’m welcome as a G&T n00b then I very well make an appearance. I won’t be dead weight, I promise!

I’ll see if I can make it.

No idea, but the event itself is limited to 60 – I’d guess it’ll either be 10 teams of 6 or 12 teams of 5. If needs be, we can always double our chances of victory by entering Team Ganymede and Team Titan…

Yes, six is the maximum, but if we get a couple more we’ll split into two teams. I’ll put you down. You’re a traitor to Gazpacho Soup.

Well if not its not a problem as I do still have tickets to something else anyway.

Ticket secured! Really looking forward to this… gonna have to brush up on my Dwarf knowledge this week.

On a side note, there is a small chance that I will be called in for ‘urgent’ surgery in the next week, nothing serious but serious enough that they’re calling it urgent apparently. Anyway, in the unlikely event that I’m unable to attend, if there is a person that wants to be a reserve, I’ll gladly e-mail you my ticket if you send me an e-mail address to do so.

The ticket says non-transferrable and has my name on it but in all honesty, they’ll just scan it and let you in! We know how these things work!

So with this being only a couple of days away is anyone else thinking of going? If it’s just sitting at 7 as it is at the moment then i’ll sit this one out.

We can split into two teams if we can get at least 8 of us unless any other G&T’ers object? I know we’re going for glory here!

After the hijinx of late from those since banished, I think it’s a good thing to share positive thoughts about G&T.

So I went to this event tonight and I must say, everyone I met was fucking fantastic and so welcoming. I was a little apprehensive about attending because I didn’t know a soul but after about 5 minutes, I felt as comfortable as can be. It might aura destroying for some but team G&T were all top people and I’m now thoroughly looking forward to busting my DJ cherry in 2013.

A big thank you to Ian, Cappsy, Seb, Paul, Bill, Lee, Angela and everyone else I shared a word with for making it a great night; I’ve now come to regard you as people I met.

Oh and we bloody won by some distance too, Cashback!!!

The prize was a round of drinks.

We won the fuck out of that quiz. 58/60.

What were the two incorrect answers?

    #204602
    Seb Patrick
    Keymaster

Ian got an SCD wrong. And we lost half a point for not putting “Mimosian” in front of “anti matter chopsticks”, and half for not knowing JM Barrie wrote The Admirable Crichton.

    #204603
    Ian Symes
    Keymaster

The SCD was one digit out – we put down the number for traversing an asteroid belt without deflectors, rather than not wearing a ginger toupe.

We would have got full marks for Mimosian anti-matter chopsticks had Seb not overruled my use of the word ‘Mimosian’.
