Howdy doodly do, folks! As we’ve now had 2 weeks of the Difficult Daily, I thought it might be prudent to move discussions of the day’s puzzle and our scores to a dedicated thread, so we’re not just bloating the comments of the “Reintroducing Smegle” post all the time. Let that be for more general feedback (or bug reports).

And of course, if you get any share-worthy frames in Casual Continuous, feel free to post those here too!

Somewhat tricky, but once I’d got the right series I felt confident I could narrow it down enough not to fail.

Also, what do you think: should this thread be spoiler-free, or not? I’m leaning towards not – because I generally prefer to do the Difficult Daily myself before hearing about others’ scores anyway, and it would be cool to speak openly without having to wait until the next day – but only if there’s consensus on it.

I thought that sliver V shape which turned out to be light reflected from Kryten’s suit was Cat’s D&A outfit. That landed me the right series but then I fucked up and got episodes mixed up. For some reason thought Camille was a V episode. Tried Holoship at a guess until Kryten leaning over Lister became clear and the scene revealed itself.

I was convinced those first squares shows Red Dwarf on a monitor so went D&A then Parallel Universe.

Once I realised that was the VI ops room, and we had some of Cat’s hair there, zoned in on the red and thought it’d be the jacket from Gunmen, then Rimmerworld.  Finally cracked it with a bit of more the costume revealed but boy that was close.

Similar to Quinn, went all round the houses with other series and then when I finally realised it was a VI episode, I thought it was the Gunmen costume at first.

Not bunk room, looked like Cat.  First instinct was VI but I could only think of Legion and that wasn’t it … maybe doing this after a sleepless night is not the best idea.

Tried Parallel Universe, White Hole, Emohawk (oh it WAS VI) then Out of Time was a happy guess.

Definitely Series X, guessed it might be Blue Midget, then guessed the red pixel was Lister’s long johns but wasn’t sure which episode that was so guessed and got it right despite probably meaning to put a different episode
