Howdy doodly do, folks! As we’ve now had 2 weeks of the Difficult Daily, I thought it might be prudent to move discussions of the day’s puzzle and our scores to a dedicated thread, so we’re not just bloating the comments of the “Reintroducing Smegle” post all the time. Let that be for more general feedback (or bug reports).

And of course, if you get any share-worthy frames in Casual Continuous, feel free to post those here too!

Somewhat tricky, but once I’d got the right series I felt confident I could narrow it down enough not to fail.

Also, what do you think: should this thread be spoiler-free, or not? I’m leaning towards not – because I generally prefer to do the Difficult Daily myself before hearing about others’ scores anyway, and it would be cool to speak openly without having to wait until the next day – but only if there’s consensus on it.

I remembered that the Corrie stuff was in Part 3 too, but I still guessed Part 2 first because: their arrival there in Carbug occurs at the end of Part 2, but you see it again (in expanded form) at the beginning of Part 3. So there are some very similar shots to today’s frame in Part 2.

Thought it might be a BITR by colours, then it looked IV-ish … and now I remember it’s actually III.  I’m happy to have got it right but bewildered by how I KEEP mixing up the series for Bodyswap *facepalm*

Didn’t recognise it (still don’t, not really) but went with Timewave first based on not looking like BtE, X or XI, nor being the typical XII colouring.  Then just guesses after that.

Looked mid-BBC-ish, tried White Hole as a total guess, couldn’t place the silver padding so Holoship, then Marooned – couldn’t remember what the Cat wore but it seemed something that might be good insulation.

That did not look like Lister’s snow jacket until it was revealed. It looked red, then brown. It looked leathery or more like Rimmer’s red padded jacket and I just couldn’t place it. 

Holoship > Nanarchy > Psirens > Marooned

It’s like the Red Dwarf equivalent of Mornington Crescent.

Looked dark, grainy, potentially III-ish, so tried Polymorph. Then it looked like a padded jacket, so Marooned seemed a good shout, though I wasn’t sure if it was a Rimmer or Lister.
