It’s an SF comedy about an abandoned human child, who is brought up on an alien world. I ordered it at the beginning of last week. It was released on Thursday. My copy arrived on Friday morning. After I’d been to see The World’s End, I started reading it on Friday evening. After about half a dozen reading sittings of an hour or so, I finished reading it on Saturday evening. I’m telling you all this because it is brilliant. One of the finest books I have ever read, and one I urge you to read. There’s a quote on the cover from Neil Gaiman, who says the book has the feel of Dahl, Pratchett and Adams. And it is, indeed, very very good. It’s fairly cheap on Amazon (even cheaper for the eBook), so, if you’re into literature, I just thought you might fancy a nosey. ;) Creator Topic Viewing 1 replies (of 1 total) Author Replies July 25, 2013 at 11:45 pm #208867 AlexParticipant I’ve been looking forward to this for a while. Aside from his songs I’ve always enjoyed Mitch’s standup and I’ve always found him to be a nice guy when I’ve met him so I try to keep up with what he’s up to. I got my copy yesterday and I’ve had a flick through the first few chapters this morning. The Gaiman influence is obvious but that’s not surprising. Looks good so far though! I’ll report back when I finish it. Author Replies Viewing 1 replies (of 1 total) Scroll to top • Scroll to Recent Forum Posts You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
