And within the list of names is Tony Hawks. Now seeing the majority of the list is people from Red Dwarf he’s currently working with, could we come to the conclusion that this means our resident warm up guy is making an appearence like we were hoping? March 7, 2009 at 3:46 pm #93286 Seb PatrickKeymaster I would heartily approve of this idea. March 7, 2009 at 3:46 pm #93287 littlesmeggerParticipant Yeah I think I remember what you mean… but then again I’m not too sure what to take as hints from Dave. Yeah sure, they’re being amazing and bow worthy by bringing Dwarf back. But I’ve never been all that convinced about their knowledge on the programme. It’s always read like it’s been spoon fed to them as the weeks go on. March 7, 2009 at 5:51 pm #93301 CarlitoParticipant So why did Tony have nothing further to do with Red Dwarf after series 4, having been quite consistently involved up to that point? Not suggesting any conspirancy, as in it was a deliberate decision on either part, but it just seems unusal that his involvement should just stop. March 7, 2009 at 5:51 pm #93302 littlesmeggerParticipant It would if it wasn’t an observation, and more a request. But seeing I was querying something in a video, I felt it was a question to ask seperately. March 7, 2009 at 6:03 pm #93306 CarlitoParticipant I wasn’t bollocking you for putting it in the wrong thread, I’m saying it would be a nice thing to see: Tony Hawks back in Red Dwarf. March 7, 2009 at 6:07 pm #93307 littlesmeggerParticipant Oh no fair enough, I wasn’t taking it as a rant, just thought you were advising! But yes I feel out of all the special guests, the original ‘5th Dwarf’ should be recognised. March 7, 2009 at 6:55 pm #93309 pfmParticipant > So why did Tony have nothing further to do with Red Dwarf after series 4, having been quite consistently involved up to that point? Because everything post-IV is shit. March 7, 2009 at 6:56 pm #93311 CarlitoParticipant Nonce-sense. March 7, 2009 at 6:59 pm #93312 Mr FlibbleParticipant So why did Tony have nothing further to do with Red Dwarf after series 4, having been quite consistently involved up to that point? When did he stop doing the warm-up? I always assumed he was still doing it in Series III hence his appearance as his green suited character, but IV? March 7, 2009 at 7:09 pm #93314 pfmParticipant When Ed Bye left he probably thought ‘fuck this for a game of dominoes’ and left. Then Doug, like a fucker, simply didn’t give him a call for VII and VIII. March 7, 2009 at 8:37 pm #93326 CarlitoParticipant He should have played the vending machine in Only The Good. Would have been a nice redeeming feature. March 7, 2009 at 8:37 pm #93328 CarlitoParticipant They probably called the wrong Tony… like a nuttah! March 7, 2009 at 9:28 pm #93334 Ian SymesKeymaster Because everything post-IV is shit. When Ed Bye left he probably thought ?fuck this for a game of dominoes? and left. Then Doug, like a fucker, simply didn?t give him a call for VII and VIII. Aww, you almost went a full week before you remembered to pretend to be a prick.
