    OK, not sure if this had ever been asked, but I’m trying to nail down the correct spelling of the species Lister claims to be while twarting the simulants in ‘Gunmen’. Here’s the stats that I could find:

    Spelled “Vindaloovians”:
    The DVD captions
    several news articles on the official site and G&T
    the roleplaying game
    about 75% of the internet

    Spelled “Vindalooians”
    Son of Soup (the script book)
    about 25% of the internet
    Plus, it kind of sounds like Lister pronounces it this way, without the ‘v’.

    What’s everyones opinion on this?

    It sounds more like Vindalooians to me.

    Quite the literal bunch, aren’t ya… =) Let’s just say a lot more hits came up on Google with it spelled with a ‘v’….

    Anyway, A friend of mine pointed out the Chapter title on the DVD also says “Vindaloovians” so I guess I’ll go with that, and just assume nobody actually proofreads official Red Dwarf books. Thanks for playing!
