ROB. GRANT. INTERVIEW. News Posted by John Hoare on 16th November 2007, 12:59 On TOS. (For some reason, I can’t link directly to it.) (EDIT: Here you go.) Loads of fantastic stuff, which I might write up about later – I currently have “other priorities” – but it’s lovely to see he loves The IT Crowd…
Here you go matey: http://www.reddwarf.co.uk/flibble/robgrant/interview_fs.html EDIT: I’ve just realised what you mean now John. Why does it go to the interview page only and not the interview itself?
That should be the link, but it doesn’t work because there is a page fault, as the Red Hot News and Time Hole headers are loading together. R and F talk bodies Besides that, the interview is great! Flibble should take over Parkinson…
You know, I’m not sure that the alt-text on this image : … is entirely appropriate. Andrew, you’re not Colin Baker by any chance, are you?
That was rather great, although I was waiting for a question that never came: “Would you come back for series 9?”
That, along with why he and Doug split up, is probably the question he gets asked most often though and probably the one he likes the least.
> ?Would you come back for series 9?? It would be pretty unfair to ask him that. I mean, he’s obviously going to say no but it would just be embarrassing to get him to say it. My guess is that Doug already has a potential series 9 planned out to a certain extent anyway.
Interesting. I’d like to think that the only reason he likes The IT Crowd is because of Richard Ayoade and Matt Berry.
It?s the article?s headline, Seb? Well, yes, I know. I just think it’s slightly unfortunate it being the alt text on that particular image as well. Is all. Colin.
> Interesting. I?d like to think that the only reason he likes The IT Crowd is because of Richard Ayoade and Matt Berry. Berry wasn’t right for the show IMO. Maybe it was because the character of Denholm’s son was poorly conceived. He shouldn’t have been an out and out nutjob. The series was much better when it didn’t involve him.

The series was much better when it didn?t involve him I never liked it to begin with, but Matt Berry made it worth watching. Basically anything which features him speaking is an instant win.
Bizarrely, this page is now the ninth result for a search for Rob Grant on Google. You don’t even need quotemarks…
I always meant to write up something about this interview, but it’s waaaaaay too late now. So I’ll just say one thing: I REALLY hope that he does end up writing another Dwarf novel, rather than just being something he said and doesn’t really mean. Now, that would be new Dwarf that I could get excited about, and it’s possible might actually happen, without budget or commissioning issues…
