I’m tempted to shout “WOOHOO!” But I won’t. I think the third series was the loosest overall…some very fun sequences but also plenty of embarrassing ones. Only The Speech really stood out to me as a keeper. But I’m not counting the show out just yet. Bring on series 4. Just bring it on better this time. February 26, 2009 at 4:10 pm #92782 siParticipant Another box set I can’t afford for me, then. February 26, 2009 at 5:01 pm #92787 ChrisMParticipant The internet in a box edition! What a brilliant idea. February 26, 2009 at 5:32 pm #92790 JamesTCParticipant I only have Series 1 so I might get the internet in a box version, only a few quid more. February 26, 2009 at 6:29 pm #92794 pfmParticipant ?17.88 for all 3 series’. You can’t go wrong there, especially in that box. I really liked series 3, the execrable Calender Geeks aside. Series 1 is still the best overall (debatable, perhaps, but that’s how I feel), with 2 being the weakest. Roll on series 4. I don’t want that to be the end either, though it probably will be. Maybe a special to round it off? I don?t want that to be the end either, though it probably will be. Maybe a special to round it off? That sounds about right. No point dragging it out. I can’t think of anything like that for me, off-hand… Need to see the whole thing again on the DVD. But I’m still a huge S1 fan. Which I don’t think would impress Linehan one bit. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the episodes, so I’m afraid I can’t remember the scattered moments that weren’t working for me. Well, except for Jen’s interview at the rival company, which was far too long for too few laughs. But I do know that pretty much the whole of Friendface was disappointing (the opening commercial wasn’t nearly as funny as it should have been, and the bit with them sitting around IMing each other is something funny in theory, but not funny to actually have to sit and watch), and so was Calendar Geeks, which is probably the first IT Crowd episode that got no laughter from me whatsoever. There were other bits, too, that I can’t remember. There were some great sequences (Moss with the gun, the hidden camera, the Internet speech) but there was too much bottom-rung material between them.
