Taking away from the hysteria that is “cocking up the Dwarfcasts with an online premature premiere”… who else has notice that there are two versions of the new-old logo.

One with the red ring OVER the text, one with the ring behind.

Which is being used on the show I wonder.

Noticed that myself a little while ago. Apart from the initial logo reveal, which had the ring over the WA, all the other promo stuff has had the ring behind, so I suspect that that’s the one that’ll be used.

I never even noticed. Very observant! The ring goes over the WA on the mini-trailer from Friday, but you’re right, it seems to go behind on everything else.

I’m too lazy to go back and check all previous RD logos. Does the ring tend to do in front or behind?

I got as far as taking some screenshots of the RDIII title sequence. You can find the RDXI logo about here somewhere, but you can see how the third series logo looked onscreen at the end of this post:

Yes, I was frustrated when that TOS article appeared. Mind you, or wasn’t until I was looking for that post I realised how long ago it was. Not much point going back to it now either, I suppose.

Red Dwarf VIII had the best logo. The chalk markings were shit though.

Series VIII was the first appearance of the little ‘tm’ next to the F. Unless it first appeared in remastered.
