December 27, 2007 at 11:15 pm #118801 PhilParticipant Well?! Was it Cecil B DeMille?! December 27, 2007 at 11:23 pm #118802 thomasaevansParticipant And was’nt It good? I was starting to wonder whether BBC Comedy had either bad actors or bad directors. Its neither. Its bad scripts. My apologies to both actors and directors. ‘To The manor Born’ was an excellent reunion. A bloody decent script to the standard of previous episodes… 25 years ago btw. Im really impressed by that. However, did anyone see ‘My Family’ on boxing day? WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ABOUT?????? UTTER BOLLOCKS! December 28, 2007 at 4:55 pm #118827 Pete Part ThreeParticipant I’m guessing it’s up there with “Did anyone else trim their pubic hair with a hedgetrimmer on Boxing Day?”. The answer to both questions is “No, that would be a stupid thing to do”. December 28, 2007 at 5:21 pm #118829 pfmParticipant I’m convinced the BBC are literally a shower of shite. Then you get stuff like Who, Extras and To The Manor Born and my mind is changed (even though I sat through almost every minute of Manor Born wishing it had no film effect, well, wishing it was actually shot ON film, because it deserved to be). Someone should donate some 35mm film and cameras to the BBC. December 28, 2007 at 10:03 pm #118838 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Extras is utter shite. December 28, 2007 at 10:11 pm #118839 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Um…no. The final episode was a bit ropey but that adjective should be reserved for the likes of The Green Green Grass and The Catherine Tate Show. December 28, 2007 at 11:42 pm #118840 Jonathan CappsKeymaster > The final episode was a bit ropey but that adjective should be reserved for the likes of The Green Green Grass and The Catherine Tate Show. No, it shouldn’t. The Green Green Grass is just offensive with the quality of its comedy, but Extras is just as bad if not worse than The Catherine Tate Show in that it has an utter, UTTER cunt as the lead. All that fucker Ricky Gervais does is forced embarrassing situations, almost always created by his character ‘hilariously’ being racicst, mysoginist, homophobic… the same thing that EVERY CHARACTER HE HAS EVER CREATED does, including his stand-up persona. He’s a lazy shit rag with not a single good joke in his worthless little bones. December 29, 2007 at 12:06 am #118841 PhilParticipant I like his little beard. The cast themselves pulled some charm from the script, but ultimately it was the best of a bad crop. December 31, 2007 at 11:39 am #118906 Paul MullerParticipant My Grandma loved it.
