I’ve noticed that everyone else in the world seems to pronounce Ouroboros as “aura bore-us”. I don’t need to tell you how I’ve always pronounced it…

My question is, did Red Dwarf make that pronunciation up so that the premise of it being mistaken for something else would translate better? Have you ever heard it pronounced that way outside of RD?

Just that “improssable” is essentially how you’d phonetically write how the kind of reductive caricature voice like TT would say “impossible”

Not for a second implying that was in any way your intention, just to be clear!

To be fair, I’ve only ever known the ‘r’ to replace an ‘l’ in East Asian caricatures.
