It’s become one of those things though – RDX was Autumn 2012, itself three years after BtE (Easter 2009), and we’ve been told they are intending another series for yoinks now without them ever actually getting round to it.

Bobby Lew did a 23 minute periscope broadcast this morning on 4/6/15
He hinted about RD11th but I missed that part but the part that I did pick up somebody asked about why there are no black androids on red dwarf and he commented saying that that may change! So I guess that’s in the script somewhere!
He had 1350 people talking to him it was impressive! Anybody here on Periscope?

I’m sure the rest of the crew becoming mechanoids is something that’s been mentioned as a possibility for an episode. I remember Craig talking about it somewhere. I guess a swap with Kryten and Lister could have worked years ago, particularly if DNA hadn’t been made. Even 20 odd years later, having Robert out of the mask would feel like a retread.
