Howdy doodly do, folks! As we’ve now had 2 weeks of the Difficult Daily, I thought it might be prudent to move discussions of the day’s puzzle and our scores to a dedicated thread, so we’re not just bloating the comments of the “Reintroducing Smegle” post all the time. Let that be for more general feedback (or bug reports).

And of course, if you get any share-worthy frames in Casual Continuous, feel free to post those here too!

Somewhat tricky, but once I’d got the right series I felt confident I could narrow it down enough not to fail.

Also, what do you think: should this thread be spoiler-free, or not? I’m leaning towards not – because I generally prefer to do the Difficult Daily myself before hearing about others’ scores anyway, and it would be cool to speak openly without having to wait until the next day – but only if there’s consensus on it.

I can’t see it at all now, looking at the full image, but that first square looked like something furry to me. I thought of the rabbit in Polymorph but went for Epideme first (the coats)

That day’s game did for my last streak so I’m currently only on 28 days, having got up to 54. What was that image again? I think both times I’ve lost it was Series VII, and I know the first time it was Cat in Duct Soup but can’t remember the other one.

Backwards, and I thought it was Rimmer giving his “glorious whole” speech. Then on seeing his uniform in the next square, it became obvious they were towels.

Kinda forget that series III-V have very similar, very plain sets to I & II. Because there’s a little more shape it feels like there’s more too them. But it’s just either very grey, or very white. And what I did was see that flat all over colour and think it was grey.

It feels like it shouldn’t be possible for a shot to just have plain wall in the background after series 1. Maybe doesn’t happen too often, or shots change too frequently to notice.

Well, that really tested the “remembering which episodes are in XI not XII” part of my brain.

And I also guessed Officer Rimmer first. I always guess that for anything wide-screen with a lot of blue. Is it more blue than other episodes overall, or is that just a false impression?

Got it in 1 too. For me it wasn’t just the blueness but the darkness.
