As we’ve now had 2 weeks of the Difficult Daily, I thought it might be prudent to move discussions of the day’s puzzle and our scores to a dedicated thread, so we’re not just bloating the comments of the “Reintroducing Smegle” post all the time. Let that be for more general feedback (or bug reports).

And of course, if you get any share-worthy frames in Casual Continuous, feel free to post those here too!

Somewhat tricky, but once I’d got the right series I felt confident I could narrow it down enough not to fail.

Also, what do you think: should this thread be spoiler-free, or not? I’m leaning towards not – because I generally prefer to do the Difficult Daily myself before hearing about others’ scores anyway, and it would be cool to speak openly without having to wait until the next day – but only if there’s consensus on it.

Was certain it was the scene at the end of Mechochracy when he’s locked up with Talkie. Then tried Promised Land. Then guessed random XI eps (with a XII slip up) until I realised what the scene was on the last reveal.

lol, I feel slightly bad calling it a coin flip now. I guess that portal isn’t equally unmistakable for everyone.

Accidentally clicked Back in the Red Part II first. ffs.

Honestly, when I accidentally click on the wrong option, I just refresh and start over (making sure to recreate any genuine mistakes of course). I want the result to reflect my actual process.

I would stick to it if the misclick revealed something that helps me solve it that I wouldn’t have known otherwise (e.g. if I intended to click on one from the wrong series but accidentally clicked on one from the right series), but in this case it’s clear from the outset that it’s not Series 8.

Looking at the Smegadrive, Twentica is far more blue-purple than I remembered (well it is series XI after all).

Totally understandable you wouldn’t randomly try refreshing the page mid game.

I raised it under the “Reintroducing Smegle” post a while ago as a potential bug – both because you could use it to cheat, and because of the potential scenario where you take a break in the middle of a game and the browser automatically refreshes before you resume – but it does come in handy on occasions like this, so I think on balance I’m now in favour of keeping it.

Stupidly guessed two XI episodes. I thought those gauges were from pumping stations so Give and Take was my first guess.
