Given that it’s only three episodes and sixty minutes of extras being reported, this is a candidate for a single disc release, surely? April 15, 2009 at 11:29 am #96803 Ian SymesKeymaster The version in the episode was two discs… April 15, 2009 at 11:29 am #96804 NakrophileParticipant It’s been mentioned already that it will be two discs. April 15, 2009 at 11:37 am #96807 Zombie Jim UndeadParticipant Will be interested to see the deleted scenes…. didn’t we see pics of Kryten in a slightly different suit with a couple of lovely ladies? April 15, 2009 at 11:47 am #96809 NakrophileParticipant We did? April 15, 2009 at 11:54 am #96810 Zombie Jim UndeadParticipant This ‘un April 15, 2009 at 11:55 am #96811 Ian SymesKeymaster Yarp: http://www.radiotimes.com/content/features/galleries/red-dwarf-behind-the-scenes/08/ Looking at the Making Of, Robert was wearing this during the crashing-through-the-glass shooting. Which makes me think it must just be a stunt thing – he wouldn’t want to land on his full costume, would he? Also, the girls in hats were background extras in the market scene, so presumably they’re members of the crew who were drafted in. April 15, 2009 at 11:55 am #96812 AlexParticipant Thats the same suit, it just hasn’t all been put on. April 15, 2009 at 2:37 pm #96853 NakrophileParticipant I forgot about that. Woe is me. April 15, 2009 at 6:03 pm #96916 Mr FlibbleParticipant The version in the episode was two discs? It was also a digipack :( April 15, 2009 at 6:20 pm #96920 JamesTCParticipant It was just a display case, the official case would be amaray, it was a deleted scene that has been lost forever. April 15, 2009 at 6:38 pm #96925 Mister EParticipant -Making Of (more in-depth than the TV version though) -Unedited version (the one that apparently showed at the premiere) -Cast Commentary, and any other commentaries they can fit in -Smeg Ups -Deleted scenes -Trailers Oh, and a Carbug model for a Collector’s Edition would be nice too. April 15, 2009 at 7:13 pm #96928 NitroChrisUKParticipant iwould like the cover either to be exacly the same as it was in the shows . or in the same style as the series i-viii dvds with the cover being either the new bunkroom or the bunkroom from the shop .. not sure what else they could use. and who would be on the picture on the side ?? April 15, 2009 at 7:22 pm #96929 DessieParticipant >and who would be on the picture on the side ?? Katerina? April 16, 2009 at 12:53 am #96974 SomebodyParticipant Given that they couldn’t afford seamless branching before, I presume disc 1 will be Back to Earth itself – in both 3-part and feature length versions – and disc 2 will be the extras (and may be a DVD-5 rather than a DVD-9 if there ARE only an hour or so of extras). April 16, 2009 at 12:58 am #96977 JamesTCParticipant The 60 minutes of extras mentioned was just behind the scenes, they have deleted scenes, smeg ups and possibly a documentary too. April 16, 2009 at 1:10 am #96984 MnoooahParticipant And the mini doc: Teh Ellard: As If This Is My Job!!!1! April 16, 2009 at 10:36 am #97034 siParticipant The Documentary should surely be called ‘Back To Earth: Too Weird For Words’. April 16, 2009 at 8:31 pm #97185 siParticipant Robert’s new WLW is up ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veOGrtp_YQM&feature=channel_page ), in which he tells us that they’ll be doing the commentary next week – Tweets will follow… April 16, 2009 at 8:45 pm #97186 Pete Part ThreeParticipant Hang on, Robert has a problem with green cars? April 16, 2009 at 9:49 pm #97195 littlesmeggerParticipant > At the end of The Making Of? when the cast are sticking their heads through the model corridor doorway, you hear a cry of ?cut!?, ie it?s a planned (scripted?) sequence. If that?s not somewhere on the DVD, I?ll be very surprised. I think with that they’ve just smegged up the scene, and then they’ve slowly come towards the minature messing about. And cause it was funny they’ve left it rolling until they stopped pratting about. April 16, 2009 at 10:43 pm #97204 JonsmadParticipant >and who would be on the picture on the side ?? Harrison Ford April 18, 2009 at 9:45 am #97386 DaveParticipant >RD/BtE: The Phil Edit? ? with commentary RD/BtE: The Phil Edit already has commentary. April 28, 2009 at 4:55 pm #98254 siParticipant I know what we need on the DVD: A PDF on how to make origami squids. April 28, 2009 at 6:55 pm #98263 ChrisMParticipant >I know what we need on the DVD: A PDF on how to make origami squids. I would actually really like that. Whatever people thought of the squid ending (which I actually liked, predicatable though it was) I thought those little paper squids were brill. So perfectly made that if you blow in one end (oo-er) the tentacles part. (I actually thought they looked a bit like the shape of Red Dwarf, erm, pre-blown so to speak. I wonder if that was intentional.) Maybe I’m just easily fascinated.
