Knowing which outfits Cat wears in each episode of VI bails me out most times.

Assuming all of the ‘Meltdown’ guesses believed it was this frame, as did I.

If you watch the episodes sequentially, then The Last Day runs straight into Camille and DNA, giving you three Kryten-heavy episodes in a row.

Miss Tracey is listed as the shortest member of the Nova 5 but is clearly the tallest of the three in the photo.

There is no ‘Pedantic observation dome’ so posting it here, but this line always kind of bugged me. Wouldn’t it make more sense if Lister listed something that was traditionally tall? Like “It would be average for my height, if I happened to play centre for the Globetrotters”.

If you wanted to win the lottery by using the luck virus, would you use it when buying the ticket or would you buy a ticket and then contract the virus while the numbers were being drawn?

Yeah I guess they were so used to doing painting duty that they just kept a tin of paint in their living quarters at all times.

What is the liquid that Rimmer throws over Hollister’s chicken suit costume in Stasis Leak?

Very mundane, and probably an observation that has been made before, but this shot of Rimmer from Justice just shows how poor of a choice his green uniform was for the Starbug set.

I am very fond of his outfit from Series 3/4 and it’s obviously an iconic look for him, but as the characters started to find themselves on Starbug more often, the shift to a red uniform was much better stylistically (probably also helped by the fact that the lighting in Series V was much better as well).

I’m kind of sad that they ditched the red uniform just two episodes in to Series VI as well, much prefer it over the blue which seems to have become the standard Rimmer colour since then.

At the beginning of Meltdown, while using the matter transporter, Kryten fails to engage the “depth function” which results in Lister and him being transported into the shower.

I guess they got lucky that it was just the shower and that Kryten didn’t teleport them to the exterior of the ship or somewhere else where they could’ve instantly died.

“If anyone needs me I’ll be taking a cold shower in liquid oxygen”

    1. Cat feels so disgusted in himself for lusting over the Psirens that he feels that he has to wash.

    2. The prospect of “spreading his seed” has made him so excited that he needs a cold shower.

I always assumed it was some variation of the first, due to how the line is delivered. But I guess the second one makes more sense as it would be in-line with what people typically associate cold showers with.

    That makes more sense

Another one I didn’t get from Series VI is…

Rimmer: Vietnam, crew cuts both sides, no score draw!

Kryten: All for a really world class psychiatrist.

In Legion, when Kryten is listing the physicists involved with the project, I never understood why Quayle got a laugh from the audience.
