The crew of the Red Dwarf must find a way to escape from the planet before the aliens force them to star in their own version of the show.

    A fate worse than death

Write an episode of Red Dwarf where Marlon Brando’s ghost haunts Lister as revenge for Lister killing him:

Lister is sitting in the mess hall, minding his own business, when Marlon Brando’s ghost suddenly appears before him. Brando’s ghost is furious with Lister for killing him and vows to haunt him for the rest of his days. Lister tries to reason with the ghost, but it’s no use. Brando’s ghost is determined to make Lister’s life a living hell.

For the next few days, Lister is constantly followed by Brando’s ghost. Everywhere he goes, the ghost is there, haunting him and making his life miserable. Lister tries everything he can think of to get rid of the ghost, but nothing works. He’s even considering just throwing himself out an airlock to end it all.

Finally, Lister comes up with a plan. He knows that the only way to get rid of a ghost is to send it back to the other side. So, he sets up a séance and summons Brando’s ghost. When the ghost appears, Lister tells it that he’s sorry for what he did and asks for forgiveness. Brando’s ghost is taken aback by this and after a moment’s hesitation, it forgives Lister and disappears.

Lister is relieved that the ghost is finally gone and he can get on with his life. But he’ll never forget the experience and he’ll always be grateful to Brando’s ghost for giving him a second chance.

It’s impressive how this AI can come up with some legit feasible ideas.

My job’s largely been replaced by AI when it comes to writing generic copy for random business websites (i.e. looking at what similar websites are doing and rewriting it, pretending I know what I’m talking about). It frankly does a better job than I did, no hard feelings.

Interesting, I work in marketing I’ll have to check these things out :)

This one didn’t particularly give what I asked for, but it seemed worth posting anyways.

And I’m aware that I’ve accidentally flipped the roles, but it didn’t give me anything very good when I realized that and ran it correctly.

Write a Red Dwarf scene about cooking meth

Kryten: Cooking meth is very dangerous, sir.

Lister: I know, but I’m desperate. I’ve been clean for weeks and I can’t take it anymore.

Kryten: If you cook meth, you will almost certainly die.

Lister: I don’t care. I need to get high.

Kryten: Sir, please don’t do this.

Lister: I’m going to do it whether you like it or not. Now help me or get out of the way.

Kryten: Fine. But I’m going to stay here and watch you die.

    Lister: Suit yourself.

(Lister begins cooking meth. He is clearly inexperienced and makes many mistakes. Kryten watches, horrified, as the meth lab explodes, killing Lister.)

Damn, Lister only just got given a second chance at life by Marlon Brando’s ghost, and he gets a fatal crystal meth addiction. Very sad turn of events.

Though I have to admit that “Fine. But I’m going to stay here and watch you die.” would be an all time great Kryten line.

Write an episode of Red Dwarf that continues from the Series VI finaleOut of Time“, which ends with the crew seemingly killed by their future selves over an argument about a time machine.

The crew of the Red Dwarf are seemingly killed by their future selves over an argument about a time machine. However, they are actually transported to a parallel universe where they find themselves on a ship called the Blue Dwarf. The crew must find a way back to their own universe before the time machine destroys both universes.

Write an episode of Red Dwarf guest starring Jimmy Nail.

Lister and the Cat are in the sleeping quarters, when they are woken up by a loud banging on the door. Lister gets up to answer it, and finds Jimmy Nail there, looking very distraught.

Jimmy: “Lister, I need your help! My ship has been attacked by aliens and I’m the only one left alive. Please, can I come in?”

Lister: “Of course, come on in.”

Jimmy comes into the room and sits down.

    Lister: “So, what happened?”

Jimmy: “I was on my ship, the Nancy Boy, when we were suddenly attacked by a group of aliens. They killed everyone on board, except for me. I managed to escape in an escape pod, but I don’t know where I am now.”

Lister: “That’s terrible. Have you tried contacting anyone?”

Jimmy: “I’ve tried, but there’s no one out there. I’m all alone.”

Lister: “Don’t worry, we’ll help you. We’ll find your ship and see if anyone’s left alive. Then we’ll find out who did this and make them pay.”

Write a sitcom set in a biscuit factory for Rimmer from Red Dwarf.

“Rimmer’s Biscuits” is a sitcom set in a biscuit factory where Rimmer is the foreman. The show follows the everyday lives of the workers as they try to make the best biscuits in the world. Rimmer is always trying to find new ways to make the biscuit making process more efficient and often clashes with the workers over their methods. However, despite their differences, the workers and Rimmer always manage to come together to make the perfect biscuit.

Write a Red Dwarf sketch where the Red Dwarf crew attempt to persuade the insane Roman emperor Caligula to join them, even though nobody really likes the idea.
LISTER: Hey Caligula, how’s it going?
    CALIGULA: Who are you?
LISTER: We’re the crew of the Red Dwarf. We’re on a mission to find new members and we thought you might like to join us.
CALIGULA: I’m the emperor of Rome, I don’t need to join your ship.
LISTER: Yeah, but it’s really cool on board and we’ve got loads of great stuff.
    CALIGULA: like what?
    LISTER: Well, we’ve got a pool, a gym, a bar…
CALIGULA: I have all of those things in my palace.
LISTER: Yeah, but ours is way better.
    CALIGULA: How so?
LISTER: Well, for starters, we don’t have any annoying senators on board.
    CALIGULA: That is true.
LISTER: And we’ve got a state of the art computer that can do anything you want.
CALIGULA: I’m sure my computer is better.
LISTER: Oh, no, ours is way better. It’s called Holly and she’s really nice.
    CALIGULA: Holly?
LISTER: Yeah, she’s our ship’s computer.
CALIGULA: I don’t know, it all sounds a bit strange.
LISTER: Come on, it’ll be fun. We can have some great adventures together.
    CALIGULA: I don’t know…
LISTER: Come on, what have you got to lose?
CALIGULA: I suppose you’re right. Okay, I’ll join you.
KRYTEN: Oh no, this is a terrible idea.
LISTER: What are you talking about?
KRYTEN: He’s completely insane. We’re going to regret this.

Write a Red Dwarf sketch where Lister tries to teach Kryten how to cook an egg but it all goes wrong and Kryten feels guilty about hurting the egg. Lister tries to explain that the egg is not alive, but it doesn‘t help.

LISTER: Right, Kryten, today we‘re going to learn how to cook an egg.

KRYTEN: Oh, I‘m not sure about this, sir. I don‘t want to hurt the egg.

LISTER: The egg is not alive, Kryten. It‘s not going to feel anything.

    KRYTEN: But it‘s so fragile.

LISTER: Just crack it open and put it in the pan.

KRYTEN: (cracking the egg) Oh no!

    LISTER: What‘s wrong?

    KRYTEN: I‘ve killed it!

    LISTER: Kryten, it‘s not alive.

KRYTEN: But I hurt it. I feel so guilty.

LISTER: Kryten, it‘s just an egg. It‘s not a living thing.

KRYTEN: I know, but I can‘t help it. I feel terrible.

LISTER: Look, let‘s just start again. Get another egg.

    May I present, Series XIII:
Write a synopsis of Red Dwarf Series 13 Episode 1, entitled “The One Where Cats Runs Out of Suits”:

The crew of the Red Dwarf are back, and this time they’re facing their biggest challenge yet: a shortage of catsuits. With the ship’s supply running low, the crew must find a way to ration their catsuits or find a new source. Meanwhile, Lister tries to come to terms with the fact that he may never see his beloved cat, Mr. Flibble, again.

Red Dwarf Series 13 Episode 2, entitled “Rimmer Goes Scrumping for Cars”:

Lister and Rimmer are out on a joyride in one of the company’s electric cars when they run into some trouble and are forced to abandon the vehicle. Rimmer is not too happy about this, especially when he finds out that the company is going to scrap the car.
In an effort to save the car, Rimmer goes on a “scrumping” mission to find parts to fix it. He has some success, but ultimately the car is beyond repair. Rimmer is left with a broken car and a sense of accomplishment.

Red Dwarf Series 13 Episode 3, a crossover with Futurama entitled “Cat vs. Bender: Battle of the Narcissists”:

Cat and Bender, two of the most narcissistic characters in their respective universes, find themselves transported to a parallel world where they must battle each other to the death. As they fight, they gradually come to realize that they are actually quite alike and may have more in common than they thought. In the end, they decide to team up against the real enemy: the boring, average people who just don’t get them.

Red Dwarf Series 13 Episode 4, “The One Where Rimmer and Lister Finally Kiss (But for Real This Time)”:

Rimmer and Lister are in the shower together, and Lister finally works up the nerve to kiss Rimmer. Rimmer is surprised but doesn’t object, and they end up making out. However, just as things are getting hot and heavy, the shower is interrupted by a call from the ship’s computer, informing them that they have a mission to perform. Rimmer and Lister are forced to put their budding romance on hold as they suit up and head out on their mission. But even in the midst of danger, they can’t help but think about each other. They eventually make it back to the ship safe and sound, and they finally have a chance to pick up where they left off. They share a passionate kiss, and it looks like they might finally be able to take their relationship to the next level.

Red Dwarf Series 13 Episode 5, “Kryten Jumps the Shark”:

Kryten repairs a damaged shark and it turns out to be a smart and dangerous opponent.

Red Dwarf Series 13 Episode 6, “Cat Finally Snaps and Just Straight Up Murders Rimmer in Front of Everyone”:

After a long day of put-downs and practical jokes, Cat finally snaps and murders Rimmer in front of everyone. Lister is shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of his friend, but the others just seem to find it amusing. Kryten tries to clean up the mess, but only ends up making it worse.

Gave it a prompt here where Rimmer gives up on his career and decides to become a graphic designer in 20th century Manchester. Italics are where I gave additional prompts.

Lister: Rimmer, what the hell are you doing?

Rimmer: I’m starting a new life, Lister. I’m going to be a graphic designer.

Lister: But you don’t know anything about graphic design!

Rimmer: I’ll learn. It can’t be that hard, can it?

    Lister: But why Manchester?

Rimmer: Because it’s the center of the design world!

    Lister: But you hate Manchester!

Rimmer: I don’t hate Manchester, I just hate the people who live there. But that’s not important. What’s important is that I’m going to be happy.

Lister: I don’t believe this. You’re going to be miserable.

Rimmer: No, I’m not. I’m going to be happy. I’m going to be successful. I’m going to be creative!

Lister: You’re going to be living in a city full of people you hate, working a job you know nothing about. You’re going to be miserable, Rimmer.

Rimmer: What’s the alternative? Spend the rest of eternity alone in space with the four of you? I want to move on with my life, Lister. I want to meet people, I want to have a job with prospects. I want to do all the things I never cared about because I was too busy trying to please my parents.

    Lister: But graphic design?

Rimmer: Yes! Graphic design! You know how much I always loved designing timetables for exams. Now I finally have a chance to put that to use!

Lister: Rimmer, you’re making a mistake.

    Red Dwarf:

Lister: Hey, Rimmer, I found something interesting on the internet.

Rimmer: Is it a new way to make a cup of tea?

Lister: No, it’s a website about a TV show called “Futurama”. It’s set in the year 3000 and it’s about a guy who’s cryogenically frozen and wakes up in the future.

    Rimmer: That sounds ridiculous.

Lister: I know, but it’s supposed to be really funny.

Rimmer: I’m not watching a show about a guy who’s cryogenically frozen. That’s just stupid.

Lister: Fine, don’t watch it. I’m going to bed.

    Futurama:

Fry: Hey, Leela, have you ever heard of a TV show called “Red Dwarf”?

Leela: No, I don’t think so. What is it about?

Fry: It’s set in the year 2027 and it’s about a guy who’s the last human alive after a nuclear war.

    Leela: That sounds depressing.

Fry: I know, but it’s supposed to be really funny.

    “Rimmer, come in.”

    “What is it, Lister?”

“I think you’d better come and see this.”

Rimmer looked up from his workstation to see Lister holding a tablet computer. He sighed. “What is it this time, Lister?”

“I found something odd in the ship’s database. It looks like your bio-data has been tampered with.”

Rimmer’s eyes narrowed. “What do you mean?”

“Well, someone’s changed your date of death.”

    “What?” Rimmer gasped.

“Yeah. It now says you’re going to die tomorrow.”

“That’s impossible! I-I” Rimmer’s words were cut off as his body convulsed and he erupted into a cloud of blood and gore.

“Rimmer!” Lister cried out in shock.

The rest of the crew gathered around as they stared at the gruesome scene.

    “What the hell happened?”

    “It looks like Rimmer exploded.”

    “But how?”

“I don’t know, but we’d better figure it out before anyone else dies.”

There is no one definitive answer to this question, as the term “performingmonkey” can refer to any number of people, groups, or businesses that engage in monkey-themed entertainment. However, some of the more well-known performers who could be considered “performing monkeys” include the late Michael Jackson, who famously danced with chimpanzees in his music videos for “Billie Jean” and “Beat It,” as well as the popular children’s entertainer, Donkey Kong.

I am a twat, obviously, because I’m still thinking about it. I’m not sure what I’m thinking about, but it’s something. Maybe I’m thinking about the fact that I’m a twat.

Why did Grant Naylor split into two separate teams, one writing series 11 and the other writing series 12?

The official reason given is that they wanted to try something new with the writing team. However, it is speculated that the real reason is that one of the writers, Doug Naylor, was having creative differences with the other writer, Rob Grant.

This is just a quick and dirty

writeup of the Red Dwarf newsgroup, alt.tv.red-dwarf. I’ve been

monitoring the group for a while now, and I thought I’d share

a few things with all of you out there.

First of all, if you don’t know what the hell I’m talking

about, Red Dwarf is a British comedy TV show, along the lines

of The Young Ones and Blackadder, only funnier and (arguably)

better written. It’s about Dave Lister, the last human

being in the universe, along with his cat, a hologram of

his dead roommate, and a mutated human. It’s a science

fiction comedy, and it’s just about the funniest show I’ve

    ever seen.

Anyway, on to the newsgroup. There’s a lot of discussion

about the show itself, of course, but there’s also a lot of

discussion of the books, the video games, the

unreleased movie, and just about anything else you can think

    of.

Lately, there’s been a lot of discussion about the

possibility of a new Red Dwarf movie. There have been

rumors floating around for years now, but nothing has ever

come of them. However, a few weeks ago, one of the

writers of the show, Paul Cornell, posted a message to the

newsgroup saying that he had recently met with Doug Naylor,

the co-creator of the show, and that they had discussed the

possibility of a new Red Dwarf movie.

This set off a firestorm of discussion, and a lot of

speculation about what such a movie might be like. Some

people are convinced that it will be made, and some are

skeptical. Personally, I’m hopeful, but I’m not going to

    hold my breath.

In any case, it’s an interesting group, and if you’re a fan

of the show, I highly recommend it.
