My answer doesn’t actually appear in the episodes (and I’m not completely sure it is only those two, but I think so). My answer doesn’t actually appear in the episodes (and I’m not completely sure it is only those two, but I think so). Two Episodes that may or may not have a unique behind the scenes connection thread November 14, 2024 at 12:29 pm #299953 loadoftottnumbParticipant Backwards and The Promised Land Both begin with a recap in the form of text on screen. Sorry for late reply, not the answer I was looking for. The answer involves the cast Kryten stand-ins, specifically due to Robert unavailability (otherwise Out of Time would count.) That’s it mate, also Beyond a Joke had a stand in but Bobby was there November 14, 2024 at 12:37 pm #299954 sleepeyParticipant Polymorph and Twentica Episodes where characters gain access to places by pretending to be bunnies November 14, 2024 at 1:01 pm #299955 clemParticipant Ongoing games: Nanarchy and Twentica (Ben Saunders) Gunmen and Rimmerworld (Ben Saunders) Only the Good and Back to Earth (Part One) (Ben Saunders) Quarantine and Back to Reality (Starbugger) Polymorph and Twentica (clem) D.N.A. and Psirens (Warbodog) – Behind-the-scenes November 14, 2024 at 8:48 pm #299961 WarbodogParticipant Quarantine and Back to Reality (Starbugger) November 14, 2024 at 9:18 pm #299963 WarbodogParticipant Polymorph and Twentica (clem) November 14, 2024 at 9:31 pm #299964 Ben SaundersParticipant i thought it was something to do with bums but anything I came up with felt too vague November 14, 2024 at 10:05 pm #299966 clemParticipant Polymorph and Twentica (clem) Not what I was thinking of. November 14, 2024 at 11:00 pm #299973 WarbodogParticipant It’s something Lister does. He drinks out of an Erlenmeyer flask We’ve definitely moved on from the era of things you’re surprised are in so few episodes. November 14, 2024 at 11:31 pm #299974 FormicaParticipant Warbodog-poos Please remember to pick it up rather than leaving it on the sidewalk or grass November 15, 2024 at 12:35 am #299976 TechnopeasantParticipant Future Echoes also doesn’t resolve the Series VIII cliffhanger. There may be more. That was very inconsiderate of Rob and Doug back in 1988 to not have a future echo explaining a solo written cliffhanger from ten years later. This is honestly more annoying than the tease in The Beginning and I want my money back. November 15, 2024 at 12:40 am #299977 TechnopeasantParticipant Bay 47 That almost makes me wonder if that is meant as a subconscious means of telling them they aren’t right in the head. Or you know, they just liked the number. November 15, 2024 at 9:00 am #299987 WarbodogParticipant Bay 47 That almost makes me wonder if that is meant as a subconscious means of telling them they aren’t right in the head. Or you know, they just liked the number. Something like the Programme Guide or Smegazine speculated about that back in the day. They were the last two made that series, so it seems Easter Eggy. Star Trek deliberately includes 47s a lot, but that only started in the 1990/91 season, so probably not a reference at this point. November 15, 2024 at 12:34 pm #299994 clemParticipant D.N.A. and Psirens (Warbodog) – Behind-the-scenes Paul McGuinness as the curry monster and the psiren Lister kisses? November 15, 2024 at 2:26 pm #299995 WarbodogParticipant D.N.A. and Psirens (Warbodog) – Behind-the-scenes Paul McGuinness as the curry monster and the psiren Lister kisses? If that works, it’s another better answer. This is about related extra content not in the episodes themselves, but not deleted scenes or smeg ups either. November 15, 2024 at 2:48 pm #299996 loadoftottnumbParticipant Something filmed for comic relief? November 15, 2024 at 3:19 pm #299997 WarbodogParticipant Something filmed for comic relief? Yep. 1991 (DNA ship set): 1993 (Cat’s Psirens outfit): 1997 was just repackaged smeg-ups. Not sure if there were others and this is invalid. Not Children in Need, that’s different. November 15, 2024 at 4:05 pm #299998 clemParticipant Paul McGuinness as the curry monster and the psiren Lister kisses? If that works, it’s another better answer. It’s him inside both of those costumes but I can’t say for certain he’s not in any other episodes. November 15, 2024 at 8:22 pm #300006 Quinn: Clochebusters World ChampionParticipant I’ll give the answer because it’ll be obvious in context of the conversarion But Nanarchy and Samsara both have one armed bandit in the dialogue November 15, 2024 at 8:38 pm #300007 WarbodogParticipant Emohawk and The Promised Land. Besides this? November 15, 2024 at 8:48 pm #300008 clemParticipant Nanarchy and Samsara both have one armed bandit in the dialogue OK but what’s the thing Nanarchy has in common with Twentica? November 15, 2024 at 8:56 pm #300009 DaveParticipant Oh, did we have the Shit connection already? I must have missed that, sorry. November 15, 2024 at 9:55 pm #300014 Ben SaundersParticipant OK but what’s the thing Nanarchy has in common with Twentica? It’s to do with Lister, but not the one-armed bandit November 15, 2024 at 10:21 pm #300018 Ben SaundersParticipant ding ding ding ding ding! you got it November 15, 2024 at 11:04 pm #300023 clemParticipant Apologies guys, didn’t mean to sound arsey in my last post. I was confused as I thought Quinn had gotten the Nanarchy/Twentica connection but was saying the answer was also true of Samsara. Sorry to take up your valuable time. Sorry. Thank you, sorry. Bye. November 16, 2024 at 1:19 pm #300037 RudolphParticipant Better Than Life and Thanks for the Memory. The observation dome? One for the ‘I could’ve sworn that was in more than two episodes’ pile. Not what I was thinking, but a good answer. It involves Rimmer, or more specifically, calling him something. November 17, 2024 at 1:16 am #300056 clemParticipant It involves Rimmer, or more specifically, calling him something. This is very tenuous but women in Rimmer’s life who you wouldn’t normally expect to address him by his surname nevertheless call him “Rimmer”, namely his mother in the letter in BTL, and Lise Yates in his false memory of her. November 17, 2024 at 5:06 am #300058 WarbodogParticipant It does seem like the start of a running joke in those episodes that doesn’t carry on. This could be related too, though maybe not with the careful way clem worded it: November 17, 2024 at 8:23 pm #300078 clemParticipant It involves Rimmer, or more specifically, calling him something. November 18, 2024 at 1:39 pm #300134 WarbodogParticipant Droopy ass titties. It doesn’t get more Xtended than those. November 18, 2024 at 2:07 pm #300135 TechnopeasantParticipant If you have titties drooping from your ass, see a physician. EDIT: what a way to start a page.
