I’ll start, because that’s how this sort of thread always works. Keep up. (My lookalike font is a bolded, mildly blurred Courier New, in case anyone wants to run with this template. The minor blur helps the added text look less conspicuously sharper than the original image.) In the first line “Rim-mer” doesn’t correspond to “Ha-ris-son”; you’d have to pronounce it as “Har’-son” to get it to fit the same rhythm. For the second line, you can get the syllable count to match just by change “it’s” to “it has” – although I think the way the syllables are stressed is still awkwardly different: “He’s ne-ver been mis-ta-ken for Yul Bryn-ner” He al-ways gets pos-ted when it has been done. September 10, 2023 at 2:24 am #288695 International DebrisParticipant I think Harrison fits a lot better than the single syllable George as a replacement for Arnold, which basically only covers half the line. September 10, 2023 at 3:54 am #288698 MoonlightParticipant For those of you not living in the Simpsons shitposting community, a Harrison is a meme that’s been done. September 10, 2023 at 1:03 pm #288714 Future Producer of Series IX – aaaaany day nowParticipant Thank you for that explanation, KT. *BBC News stinger plays* September 11, 2023 at 3:20 pm #288753 MoonlightParticipant I think Harrison fits a lot better than the single syllable George as a replacement for Arnold, which basically only covers half the line. That’s why you say George six times. September 11, 2023 at 5:04 pm #288757 Future Producer of Series IX – aaaaany day nowParticipant Okay hear me out “George Ha-, George Ha-, George Ha-risson” September 11, 2023 at 6:35 pm #288758 clemParticipant Surely you’d sing George three times melismatically, lasting two notes each time, then Harrison in place of “-nold Rimmer”. September 11, 2023 at 7:05 pm #288760 DaveParticipant But then the accent is on the “ris”!
