It’s been a bumper few days over on Twitter, so much so that we’ve been moved to collate it all together even at this early point in the week. Join me after the jump for a look at a storyboard and upwards of TWO pictures of some walls.
More rumblings about the Naylors’ non-Dwarfy project, which is a relief considering we spent an hour watching The Alan Titchmarsh Show the other day in anticipation of a non-existent announcement. Naylor Minor today unveiled Three Feet Productions, a new production company founded by the father and son team, and presumably named after the total number of non-prosthetic lower leg appendages owned by the pair of them.
Well, we feel slightly foolish now. We’ve been sat here waiting patiently for some Red Dwarf XI news to burst forth, and it seems all we had to do was ask the show’s producer nicely on Twitter. Yes, a chap called Chris Horner (possibly sat in a corner) has done just that to Naylor Minor, and extracted two salient pieces of information. Their exchange follows.
We must admit, we kind of thought there’d be more news about Red Dwarf XI by now. When Doug appeared at Dimension Jump in May, he seemed to imply that an announcement wasn’t too far away. However, that was more than half a year ago, and all we’ve had since is a gun-jumping splutter from Bobby Llew. That is, until now. Sort of.
Now, let me begin by saying that it can’t have escaped anyone’s attention that things have been getting rather quiet around here of late. It’s no secret that updates are thin on the ground and we’re relying on the Forum to break important news. So, I’ve decided, if it’s all right with you, to appoint myself update officer and set myself the task of doing a bit of an old round-up. Any objections? Well, tough.
