I’d love a new series… I’d be happy with six, single half hour eps. No multi parter stuff, just six solid, funny stories, and god-willing, no cliffhanger.

Can’t see much happening in the way of music cues, as it seems like it’s all library music (theme and incidental’s excluded of course).

It’d be nice to have a retrospective look at the Movie that didn’t happen… maybe some clips of the cast read through, the prep, the storyboards, the failed funding attempts etc etc.

And I know this ain’t gonna happen, but it’d be neat as hell to have PDF’s of the Radio Times and other magazine features from April 09 included on there too, cos I’m a sad act like that…

Yeah, I think I’m driving the wife nuts with my incessant harping on about new Dwarf. Then today she saw the trailer on Living, and smiled. I’m wearing her down!

I’m just chuffed I got to hear the full length guitar track from the alternate crew’s escape sequence in “Back To Reality”

Got to agree with the Series V visuals – I’d single Back To Reality and The Inquisitor out as episodes that visually are very striking indeed.

Well, the sets will get their own amended style anyways – Mel Bibby passed away some years ago, god rest his soul.

Personally I’d like a return to single camera shooting – what can I say, I liked the glossy production values of it.

I would also like to see a return to a show more focussed on the core cast alone. I’ve no interest in seeing the whole Dwarf crew outside of flashbacks.

I’d prefer to see modelwork as opposed to CGI, but I don’t mind the look of the ReMastered Dwarf design.

Finally I’d like to see a mix of good character gags and some sharp comedy one liners and observations – a toning down of the physical and slapstick humour really.

I guess in essence (in my mind) I’m looking for Red Dwarf III with Red Dwarf VII production values.

I would also like the moon on a stick.

Heh, that’s fantastic…

As for stuff in Red Dwarf that’s appeared elsewhere… I know that Rimmer’s badge from Series III thru VII was the B Ark captain’s helmet logo (only upside down) from the Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy TV show.

There’s probably more stuff out there somewhere.

Here’s hoping this new episode is great, and ties things up well. And please Doug…. do NOT end this on a cliffhanger. Give it an ending that’s an ending, and if further shows are greenlit later, all the better.
