Ah, Wednesday. Time for a Dave update. Providing you can find it, that is - when today's article first went live, it wasn't linked to on the Red Dwarf news index or the RSS feed, just on the front page of the main Dave site. This is both annoying and very silly - they seriously need a proper CMS. We even had to enlist the help of Si Bromley, for fuck's sake.

Anyway, this week: two new pictures!

In possible the most exciting move in the history of everything ever, Dave have revealed the episode synopses for Back To Earth. Oh, and in case that wasn't enough, they've just thrown in a shot of A COMPLETELY NEW BUNKROOM for good measure.

If you're sensitive to spoilers, don't click on this link, and don't read this article or the comments. My personal policy is that things that are put out there by the production team and/or the channel don't count as spoilers, as they're things that we're supposed to know at this stage. Well well well, Sophie Winkleman - best known for her role as Big Suze on Peep Show - has been cast in Back To Earth. No news yet on what sort of character she's playing, other than that it is a "key role". I'm sure the rumourmongers will all spunk themselves at the thought that she's playing Kochanski, but I don't think that's terribly likely. We know bugger all else at this stage, other than that she's been on set since the shoot started on Monday. Marvellous.

Obviously the Dave news update wont be live until 12pm on Wednesday, but as we can't absolutely guarantee any of us will be around in time to post up our usual placeholder (and, handily, the person responsible for updating the RSS feed is just a little too eager) we have the link here ready for you to F5 the shit out of in the vain hope they'll publish a little early.

See you later.

EDIT: Ooh, it's updated, I knew it would.

Well, this is interesting. The February edition of SFX carries the following small news item:

Craig Charles has divulged more about Dave’s Red Dwarf revival. “We are going to do Red Dwarf: Unplugged, which is just the four of us - and some chairs - trying to improvise, or rather trying to remember, classic scenes,” he said at the recent Collectormania Glasgow.
