Another one in the Metro, under the headline “Charles Misses Red Dwarf screening”, makes it sounds like he couldn’t be bothered to turn up.

So does having an increased post count also increase the probability that you will have sex with family of the same gender?

It was definitely in the paper version this morning, just before the middle, first page of Metro Life IIRC. It was 2 pages as well (well 1 page worth but split over the middle)

Looks like it’s not in the e-version, might be because I don’t read the London version. I think the article was where the clubbing bit is in the e-version. That actually explains why I couldn’t find it on the website first thing this morning, whereas most of the other articles where available.

I remember paying ?30 for Legacy and thinking I’d got a bargain. Sometimes I hate the depreciation on DVD’s, I’ve got ?1000’s worth at cost price, but only ?100’s at current value.

It is a great Avatar. Unfortunately you appear to have successfully diverted the conversation :P

Pity, I’d have thought there was would be some interest in pre-production notes for Doctor Who, Stuff like the Tardis originally being invisible, or Susan was originally going to be called Biddy but there you go.

Been a while since I did any of this, but depending on what program you are using (I’m sure Winzip and WinRar could do this) to compress the files you should be able to split them into separate chunks, e-mail the smaller chunks, then reassemble at the other end if required.

Maybe we’ll finally get decent quality footage of the pilot.

Anyhow, No Heroics starts Thursday 10.30pm on ITV2.

With regards to the adult stuff, maybe it’s just to differentiate it from My Hero, then again that was a success (from the BBC’s point of view, not mine). Maybe I just think the subject matter has the potential to be funny without having to promote it with cheap wanking gags.

I suppose you could take it that the Enlightenment project was in it’s initial stages and Holoships had been around for ages. Actually they could probably have initially started off as scout parties for exploring uninhabitable planets and finding data to enable successful terraforming. The ability that they could travel through tiny wormholes to anywhere in the galaxy could have been added as an afterthought.

Question is, had the holoship been around exploring for 3 million years or had it found a timehole?

The one thing I like about this (If it happens, not sure of that at all, disclaimer) is that it could be a total reboot of the franchise, Red Dwarf finally gets to Earth then spin off from that, or it’s just a continuation of the previous narrative. A spin off series with all the original characters could be awesome and something that has not been seen before. (Red Dwarf: Earth sounds cool)

Fact of the matter is that any Dwarf related material would be good for most of us reading here, even if it ended up being a retrospective. However even a DVD only release has more legs than could be imagined a year ago, especially now Blu-ray is the format of choice.

I must say it makes this article on the official site more interesting. Looks like some announcement was definitely planned.

If it is going ahead I don’t see it as a Christmas special as it’s a short turnaround to get effects and stuff done. Could be done for the 21st anniversary though.

Personally I would think they might go down the stargate route, releasing it on DVD first then it being shown on TV a few months later.

But then we are getting far too ahead here really. It (if there is an it) could be an hour long special on how the movie couldn’t get made.

I gave it about 6 episodes of the first season to try and get into it, never got any farther. Might have to pick up a couple of seasons on DVD when they are ultra cheap to see if I can get further. Might be a while as I’m only 6 episodes into Battlestar Galactica at the moment, and that’s only as HD-DVD is dirt cheap at the moment.

Saw this soon after it was leaked and was nearly tempted to grab it, but series 1 of BS Galactica HD-DVD arrived so I’ve started watching that instead.

Well all the events are taken straight off the new US version of Gladiators, the eliminator is identical apart from the ropes halfway up the travelator on the US version (although it is set to evil speed levels). Still not worked out who is more annoying, Hulk Hogan or Ian Wright.

It would also be interesting to see what order the shows were recorded in, this one seemed far to polished to be a first episode, Although I did read an article (I think saturdays Guardian supplement) where they were refilming stuff like the contenders getting out of the water several times.
