Adam and Joe are very funny – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBkTSCLrMIA&feature=related – and you know it is not like Iain Lee will be writing the stuff, he will still be a cunt but if it is as funny as the Inbetweeners then I will watch it regardless of him. I don’t even know if I will watch it anyway, I don’t watch much new TV these days.

It has Adam Buxton in too doesn’t it, in the Adam and Joe radio show at the weekend he said Iain Lee was talented, I nearly turned off.

I think the spin off ‘Star Bug’ will be brilliant, can’t see the mini-series ‘Blue Midget’ going anywhere though.

Yes but TSCC still made the age mistake as T3. John was 10 in 1995 yet he was 20 odd in T3 which was set in 2003. They made the mistake again in TSCC. That pisses me off.

    >Maybe another network will pick it up like is possibly happening with My Name is Earl.
Well I just found out that I am talking bolloks and talks have ended and MNIE is offcially ending. Fucking hell.

Firefly, Buffy and Angel were all fucking fantastic shows. Considering the new smaller budget for Dollhouse it was almost certainly not the new Dollhouse that got TSCC off air, infact it was probably the fact that it had bad ratings.
It is a shame TSCC was left on a cliffhanger and such a mind fucking one at that. Maybe another network will pick it up like is possibly happening with My Name is Earl.

I prefer not to think of T3, TSCC is so much better.

The ending used for Terminator 2 was the better one. It would still be the best film ever if they used the other ending though.

Eh, I do understand it was a rushed ending. It was meant to end with Al leaping into a prostitute in the far future to kick of Season 6 with Al and Sam leaping together.

He calls it dark orange on the front and red on the disc.
He mentiones the fact that it is the seventh Doctor a billion times.
And worst of all he didn’t mention that the Cheetah on the cover was played by Lisa Bowerman of Bernice Summerfield fame, I am dissapointed, I may send an andry e-mail to this professional reviewer.

I never said the finale to Quantum Leap was bad, I just thought Sam should have got home and it left a bad taste after the 5 years of him wanting to get home, it was a good episode and includes my favourite moment in the history of the show, were he looks in the mirror and he has leapt into himself, oh boy!

When does the new Red dwarf start filming?

I think some shows when they don’t end with a “finish” leave a bitter taste, like Quantum Leap, I mean just a caption saying he never got home was just awful, after all the good he done he should have made it home.
Then again you have shows like TNG which just had a great story to end it but didn’t tie up any loose ends which didn’t leave a bitter taste because it was just a fnatastic story.
Though you do have shows which end but it all seems rushed and, well, shit. Yes I am thinking of Voyagers ‘End Game’, oh look the Borg have a portal, lets use it and destroy it, yay we are home and then it didn’t even show them in the fucking alpha quadrant, just end with the ship surrounded by others (I always thought the best end for the show would be Voyager crashing on earth).

Then again I loved the last episode of Seinfeld.

Why not just do the odd 1 hour special (40 minutes with adverts) every few months, it would be easier for Craig to get time off and it would be more event TV so probably get better ratings over all. Plus that would mean each special would get a DVD release which means we can get more wonderful releases.
Judging by the ‘Back to Earth’ I doubt Doug cares too much about criticts, he seems to care more about the fans.
I don’t think they will make a decision until the DVD has been out for a few months though, you know to see how well it does.

I was wondering if that was 5/5 or 5/10, I checked a few other reviews and the guy given 10/10 for ‘Army of Ghosts’/’Doomsday’, so essentially he thinks ‘Back to Earth’ is half as good as that CGI overdose with a hoover.

I have listened to all of the Colin Baker commentaries since they are all brilliant (especially ‘Arc of Infinity’). I listened to the ‘Trial of a Time Lord’ commentaries all in one go.
‘The TV Movie’ had a good commentary as far as I rememer, that was just the director, I hope they get a re-release with Paul McGann on it though, he done a commentary for Alien 3 and he was great in that.

Some American shows are shown in two blocks though, half of the episodes one half of the year and half of the episodes the next. I’m certain My Name Is Earl and South Park are aired that way.

This is a good day for TV news, first there is a very good possibility of My Name Is Earl returning and now Futurama IS returning, next Robert Llew will announce that Red Dwarf is back for an 8 episode series.

Oh and 26 fucking episodes! That is more than any season before isn’t it?

I have stopped buying the Only Fools and Horses DVDs because of the cuts, when I heard about ‘A Royal Flush’ losing 20 minutes well that is just awful. Wikipedia has a list of all the cuts and I couldn’t believe it was so many. I will wait for a next-gen release in 10 or so years, I can wait that long with a mixture of DVDs and VHS’.
As for Quantum Leap well Season 1 came with a nice amount of extras, not that many but enough to show they cared, then Season 2-5 had next to none, infact Season 5 advertises 1 extra which isn’t even on the DVD!

    >Hmm, I know what the problem is with me buying DVDs, and it?s that because I bought Series I of Dwarf first, I expect all other DVDs to follow suit as a result.

As much as I wish all could it is just not possible, it is easier to slap on “collectors edition” on a DVD with subtitles, animated menu and scene selection listed as the bonus features then to do a proper job like is done with Dwarf, Doctor Who, The Simpsons/Futurama ect.
With American shows I understand why commentaries aren’t done on every episode, I mean it is 22 episodes or more a season (which is why I listed Futurama and The Simpsons, it is such a good accomplishment especially when they are all so good in the commentaries).
For every Bodysnatcher Boxset and ‘Trial of a Time Lord’ we get a Quantum Leap Season (which added an episode of Season 5 onto Season 4 as an extra) and an Only Fools and Horses release (complete with cuts!)

Not me, I will be outside ASDA at 8:45 on monday being impatient outside until it opens. I like that I blew of lunch with a friend for the DVD though, he understands, I like Red Dwarf.
I haven’t ordered online because I used to order Who DVDs online and never got them early, the straw broke when ‘Trial of a Time Lord’, the best DVD ever, was 4 days late.

Some commentary is better than no commentary. I mean the ones on Buffy, Angel and Firefly are great despite only being on certain episodes.

I think the novels ‘Backwards’ and ‘Last Human’ would be great as a game, especially ‘Last Human’, it would be wonderful going round the Gelf worlds and selling sperm. Plus you can play as Rimmer in ‘Backwards’ in the bit were he needs to use his light bee to move the non-voice operated fork lift.

    >tbh I can?t see the appeal of Doom when most of that sort of demon are straightforward enough to kill with a real shotgun.

Demons are fictional, you can’t kill something fictional with a real shotgun.

    >tbh I can?t see the appeal of Grand Theft Auto when you can go steal real cars and kill real prostitutes to get your money back.

I don’t think you should talk about your private life on here.

I don’t like the Guitar Hero games but I can see the appeal, I just prefer to listen to music instead, much less effort.
