Well it is much more than just extras, I mean just read this mammoth page of changes, http://www.purpleville.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/rtwebsite/DavrosBoxset.htm , you will need to scroll down a bit, it also had the Davros Connections documentary, well worth a purchase as far as I’m concerned, some fans paid ?60+ for this as part of the Davros Set so I am glad I waited, now I feel like watching a Davros story, might watch ‘Destiny’, hmm.

It would be better if they had Mickey Smith on the shirt.
I am very excited to see the new Doctor’s costume.

‘Remembrance of the Daleks’ is rereleased tomorrow with Beatles tracks put back and effects properly implemented as well as a spanking new restoration and a few new extras as well as the Davros documentary on a second disc. The cover and slip-case cover look great too!

    Anyone else getting it?

I have just finished Sonic Unleashed, the last thing you need to do is tap “X” 60 times within 15 seconds or so, I nearly didn’t make it.

Which thinking about it leads me to wonder why they don’t make a new show but set in the same universe, sort of like a spin-off. The New Adventures of Hypno Toad and Friends.

Oh well, I will still watch it, the main strength is in the writing but the characters just won’t seem like themselves without the original cast.

So in about 2 weeks we will probably have pictures of either Matt Smith in his new costume or Matt Smith wearing David Tennants outfit, that is if it is location filming in a week
On Gallifray Base the page for set reports for Series 5 (which is actually called Series 1 according to DWM) is at page 24 already, when they haven’t even started filming!

Well you can download a ROM of Sonic 3 and Knuckles but you have a difference with playing on a laptop on a shite emulator or playing on a big screen with a controller in HD.
It is essentially just a save state on the 360 too, still I will take any chance to play through Flying Battery Zone another 4 or 5 times, such good music on that one, shame the boss at the end of act 2 looked so poor, I still laugh whenever I see that terrible Robotnic sprite for that boss.

Well I have Sonic and Knuckles in many different forms but most don’t have the better save features on the 360 and since I already have Sonic 2 and 3 on the 360 it will have lock-on compatibility so I can then play Sonic 3 and Knuckles HD. I mean the main reason I got the microsoft points was for the two Sonic releases, it is just the Katamari with all the downloadable stages took up alot of points.

Which would probably be cheaper and so the best route if they want the laugh track back.

    >A bit like Borat, then.

The first person I have seen not to like Borat, I found Borat just recycled comedy with hardly any new material. I will stick with the original Ali G show, I do have high hopes that Bruno will be good and not just recycled, if it is just as with Borat recycled comedy I have another annoying few months of people quoting stuff I heard years ago as if it is fresh.

So wait, you think that 10% of the children of earth should die in favour of Jack’s grandson, Jack has probably seen ‘Wrath of Khan’, “The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few”. The Doctor has let people die to save more people or to save the time line.

    >I don?t see how Jack pressing a few buttons is all that different. It?s almost as if RTD thought ?If I kill a kid?, it won?t look like I?m doing a cop-out.

Well sort of, yes but really you could say the same for most endings, ‘Parting of the Ways’ had the Eccleston Doctor being killed to not make is look like a cop-out (or Lynda), ‘Doomsday’ had Rose “dying”, ‘Last of the Time Lords’ had the Master “dying” and ‘Journeys End’ had Donna “dying”.

    >>then we had a few switched flipped which led to the comedy moment of the Daleks being kicked about

    >I loved Journey?s End. It?s the only finale that totally worked for me.

Don’t get me wrong, I agree it was the only finale which really worked for me too, the switched being pressed was a bit out of the blue but thinking about how Davros works it sort of makes sense that he would make it so he could have a cop-out against the Daleks, I mean he hasn’t had the best history with the Daleks, rebelling against him in half of his stories and in the others attacking his gold and white Daleks.

Now you see I thought that was a better ending than the other New Who endings, I mean what do we have, Magic Rose makes the bad pepper pots go away with bright eyes, then we had a hoover suck the Daleks, then we had everybody pray for the Doctor at the exact same time all around the world which changed the Doctor from Gollum into an angel, then we had a few switched flipped which led to the comedy moment of the Daleks being kicked about (which I actully thought was rather funny no matter how much it detracted from the tention previously established) but here we had something like ‘Jouneys End’ but better thought through, I mean they had hints to the end with the death of Clem, I can’t see a better ending to the dilemma, that is outside the Doctor turning up and in a comedy moment just flashing his sonic screwdriver and scaring them all away, though it wouldn’t really have kept up the drama would it?

Shame that the show has to end (if it infact does). I thought while the episode was not the best of the 5 it had the best scene and that was Frobisher’s last, just the pause between the last gun shot, so brilliant.

Day 5 still not up on Iplayer. I mean RTD has in the past done a great lead up but a terrible finale, ‘Last of the Time Lords’ or ‘Gollum goes the Circus’ as I prefer to call it as an example, ‘Utopia’ was bloody brilliant, ‘Sound of Drums’ was ok, ‘Gollum goes the Circus’ was poor.
Still I thought ‘Journeys End’ was a great finale (though I thought the lead up wasn’t that good with ‘The Stolen Earth’, funny that).

With all these Sonic games coming put they must be making a profit. I would like a Sonic 4 though, actually I would love it, make it under 16-bit restrictions, it would be great. Or they could do a Sonic 2 Uncut and include Hidden Palace Zone, Wood Zone, Dust Hill/Winter Zone and Genocide City Zone.

    >I recently bought an XBox collection of the Sonic games. I need to finish certain games to unlock some (like Sonic CD and the ?sonic 3/2 as knuckles? mode)

Sonic Mega Collection Plus, it doesn’t have Sonic CD on it, only Sonic Gems Collection does, I remember for a mate I said I would unlock some games on it for him and I tried for ages going on and off Sonic 3 and it didn’t unlock Sonic 3 and Knuckles, that twat goes on it once and unlocks it straight away.

Fun Fact – Sonic Mega Collection was meant to include Sonic CD but it couldn’t be ported properly, along with Sonic CD the game was meant to include the Sonic film which was taken off for unknown reasons..

It is a good game and the time travel is realised well (though I did end up in a spike in the future, jumped out of it) but it isn’t as good as the later games, Sonic 2-Knuckles.
Fun Fact – Sonic 2 was originally to have the time travel element, the scrapped zone Dust Hill Zone was the present in a zone and another very early zone Rock Zone was to be the past.
