Found it very meh. Enjoyed the characters but can’t remember their names, and only episodes I remember are “the one that was like Black Mirror” and one where they’re marooned and the robot babysits two kids. Ship has an interesting design though, I’ll give it that.

Also it ripped off a Space Corp Directive joke at one point. Good old unoriginal MacFarlane…

I once got very drunk and took home a traffic cone. Don’t think that’s exclusive to Red Dwarf though.

What did you all have of the original 90s T-shirts? I had the Ace Rimmer one but always wanted Let’s Get Out There And Twat It, (but was forbidden due to the rude word.)

Only a couple of tees, Smoke Me A Kipper and the Smeg Head logo. Mum wouldn’t let me have any with swear words on (even though 13 year old me argued that oral sex could be “another way of saying discussing gender”)

My 12 year old self never understood the context of the “who fancies a kebab?” line from Only the Good. Only managed to join the dots after the first time I got properly drunk a few years later.

The whole time I just thought they were making a jab at crap food.

Christ that was the worst thing I’ve ever said.

III – Very hard to choose, this being the first series of Dwarf I watched, but probably The Last Day. Not that it’s bad, just not as memorable as the rest of the series (in my opinion, at least)
IV – Meltdown. Most of my reasons are the same as yours, a couple of funny gags but it ultimately just falls flat for me, I tend to skip this one.
V – Demons and Angels, just for the tarantula scene. I’m fine with bugs, but I remember watching that and nearly being sick.

Until Back to Earth, this was the only series made and broadcast in my lifetime. Feel quite ashamed of saying that…

On the whole I’m fairly mixed on it. There’s the odd funny gag but it really doesn’t feel the same as the rest of the show (also is it just me, or does the colour palette just seem too yellow? That was my main takeaway when I rewatched it earlier this year)

Ooh, I’ve had some odd ones (in general) but a couple Dwarf related ones come to mind:-

-Watching the Red Dwarf movie which had a laugh track and Rimmer saying “Fuck no” after the rest of the crew rescued him from being kidnapped (can’t remember the exact circumstances)

-When Series 10 was imminent, dreamt that the school bully had review copies of the episodes which I found after I’d broken in to his house for whatever reason.

No idea what any of my dreams mean to be honest, they’re worth writing about on their own.

Always loved the Turkey on Head skit from the Christmas special. Through reading this thread,I only just found out about them reusing it in the movie’s American release – I also remember where he wins the turkey by subtracting its weight from his own – which was also removed from future releases.

What was it about this turkey that demands removal?

(I also watched one episode of Friends – the only episode I’ve watched – where they rip it off. 7 year old me was unnecessarily pissed off at that)

Lister’s bit about the 83 year old actor was actually quite funny imo
