SFX’s relationship with Red Dwarf has been up and down over the years, but in recent years they’ve been treating the show very well, devoting a good amount of space to preview Back To Earth (not to mention the special cover created for the show).  The November edition (November?  You stupid fuckers) carries a substantial four page interview with Chris, Craig and Robert and it’s really very pleasant indeed.  Edited highlights follow, but I also encourage you to buy the mag when it’s released on Wednesday, if for no other reason than to keep SFX’s lawyers off my substantial arse.

UPDATED 21.30 - ROBERT LLEWELLYN CONFIRMS NEW SERIES COMMISSION

Hard to believe it's almost two years since Headfuck Monday, isn't it? But, while we're a long, long way from such things occurring yet again, today has at least given us cause to suspect that the next twelve months are going to see Dwarf news a-plenty - and with reports coming out from one source before being not-undenied by another, we're getting those first shivers of excitement as word starts to spread and threaten to overtake us. Let's stop, then, and recap.

Well, this has been quite a day, hasn't it? I was going to give you a run down of all the press/blog/etc coverage, but then when I spotted that GMail had split my daily Google Alerts e-mails into two threads - which happens when a thread reaches a hundred messages - I realised that this wasn't the most practical idea. Ah well, most of the interesting things are being picked up in this comment thread, thanks to our loyal band of excellent link-dumpers.

Well, this is interesting. The February edition of SFX carries the following small news item:

Craig Charles has divulged more about Dave’s Red Dwarf revival. “We are going to do Red Dwarf: Unplugged, which is just the four of us - and some chairs - trying to improvise, or rather trying to remember, classic scenes,” he said at the recent Collectormania Glasgow.
