February 23, 2009 at 8:22 pm in reply to: Watching the series 1 commentaries #92426 JamesTCParticipant Series V and VI had the best commentary, ‘Holoship’ especially was very funny, Craig Charles wasn’t present but Chris Barrie made it seem as if he was! February 23, 2009 at 8:18 pm in reply to: Marleen’s NO SPOILERS ‘Recommend Me Old Who’ Thread. #92425 JamesTCParticipant After the main documentry I now understand a comment from David Tennant in ‘Fires of Pompeii’, they shown a nice clip too. February 23, 2009 at 7:37 pm in reply to: Marleen’s NO SPOILERS ‘Recommend Me Old Who’ Thread. #92415 JamesTCParticipant I have finished ‘The Romans’, I quite liked it, not as good as the other historical stories like ‘The Aztecs’ but still highly entertaining and very funny, especially episode 3, I was laughing like an idiot at Nero. February 23, 2009 at 4:24 pm in reply to: Marleen’s NO SPOILERS ‘Recommend Me Old Who’ Thread. #92401 JamesTCParticipant I can recommend ‘The Rescue’, it is a wonderful little story, a teeny tiny cast with only about 4 new sets built. The crashed space ship reminds me of the Nova 5 too. February 23, 2009 at 4:09 pm in reply to: Slumdog Millionaire… #92400 JamesTCParticipant >Now it?s Monday morning and I?ve slept a total of 3 hours, which is shit. Me too, I was up till 2 and then I thought “Right, time to really get some sleep, I am up in five hours” so I slapped on the Adam and Joe podcast but it was too funny to go to sleep, that was an hour, I then put on one of the Dwarf audio books which was another hour before I went to sleep, 2 hours and 50 minutes sleep, when I woke up I felt great for some strange reason, I feel like shit now. February 22, 2009 at 10:55 pm in reply to: I had a dream…. #92366 JamesTCParticipant >Am I the only one whose dreams will sometimes (not always, but often enough) feature credit sequences? Do you ever dream of the DVD release of your dream? February 22, 2009 at 9:46 pm in reply to: Feature VS Specials #92361 JamesTCParticipant >You say BITR was Xtended, but that?s hardly noticeable, whereas it is in the VII Xtendeds I always watch the xtended version of BITR now, I see an obvious improvement in the story, it flows better and the odd extra joke here and there goes a long way. February 22, 2009 at 9:00 pm in reply to: I had a dream…. #92356 JamesTCParticipant It was a dream, doesn’t need to make sense. February 22, 2009 at 4:04 pm in reply to: Feature VS Specials #92347 JamesTCParticipant Are you going to watch ‘Body Snatcher’ and The End: The Original Assembly? February 22, 2009 at 1:08 pm in reply to: Not a new idea? #92331 JamesTCParticipant I just can’t agree that getting to earth is the end of Dwarf, it may be Lister’s goal since day one but we also know that Lister is on Red Dwarf when he is 170 odd in ‘Future Echoes’, I think it is more of a ‘Backwards’ the book type situation were Lister realises his home is not earth anymore, it is that big ugly red rock. Series IX could just be the gang going through space in Red Dwarf away from earth, either that or at the end of the specials the thing that sent them to earth also sends them back to Deep Space. February 22, 2009 at 1:02 pm in reply to: Not a new idea? #92330 JamesTCParticipant >Not unless series IX involves the crew banding together to fix up an old hotel or some shit. Where did you get the script from? February 21, 2009 at 11:55 pm in reply to: Back to Earth – Will It have a Title Sequence? #92307 JamesTCParticipant Double post, damn! February 21, 2009 at 11:54 pm in reply to: Back to Earth – Will It have a Title Sequence? #92306 JamesTCParticipant Nah, go for the rock intrumental with clips, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. February 21, 2009 at 10:52 pm in reply to: What the hell is this? #92301 JamesTCParticipant It starts 11 April, it is not like anything else good is on that day. February 21, 2009 at 10:45 pm in reply to: What the hell is this? #92300 JamesTCParticipant Episode 12 – End of the Daleks – The Daleks invade earth and this time the Doctor stands no chance of defeating their army. Episode 13 – The Last War – The Cybermen, Daleks, Ice Warriors, Master, Sontarans, Rutans, Silurians, Sea Devils, and the Macra all fight in the biggest battle ever and the Doctor stands no chance of defeating the armies, also a companion might die. February 21, 2009 at 10:24 pm in reply to: What the hell is this? #92298 JamesTCParticipant I get a Star Trek New Voyages feeling from this (or whatever it is called), fan fiction mixed with poor acting and terrible CSO. February 21, 2009 at 2:13 am in reply to: Twitter Directory #92260 JamesTCParticipant New Dwarf has been met with negativity? On IMDB I have has new Dwarf as my signature since it was announced and it is always met with suprise then bliss, I love spreading the word. February 21, 2009 at 2:09 am in reply to: Latter-day Simpsons episodes that DON’T totally suck #92258 JamesTCParticipant He is much better on audio (he is voted #1 on audio out of the 4 audio Doctors) but he certainly has some classic on screen stories too, ‘Trial of a Time Lord’ shows how good a Doctor he is. ‘Revelation of the Daleks’ didn’t have much of the Doctor in it because Eric Saward didn’t like Colin Baker and so didn’t write much for him, Peri is my favourite companion along with Evelyn Smyth, Peri is certainly interesting, you should see her in ‘Planet of Fire’ and ‘Attack of the Cybermen’! What I find strange about her is that she has hardly aged a day, here is a picture taken just a few days ago from the recording of an audio – http://www.drwho-online.co.uk/news/images/bf-missiontomagnus-promo.jpg February 21, 2009 at 1:35 am in reply to: Latter-day Simpsons episodes that DON’T totally suck #92253 JamesTCParticipant Oh I have nothing against Lost, I never really watched it but I have nothing against it, just wanted a funny reaction since I’m usually on the other end of the reaction (usually having a go at ignorant fucks saying Colin Baker was crap as the Doctor because he was sacked). February 21, 2009 at 1:27 am in reply to: Latter-day Simpsons episodes that DON’T totally suck #92249 JamesTCParticipant Oh you are easy! February 21, 2009 at 1:22 am in reply to: Latter-day Simpsons episodes that DON’T totally suck #92245 JamesTCParticipant I’m so sorry for you. February 21, 2009 at 12:58 am in reply to: Latter-day Simpsons episodes that DON’T totally suck #92239 JamesTCParticipant I’d say more, I had to buy Season 4 twice after my first got lost, I have moved since and it was no where to be seen in the house, it is the only DVD I have lost. February 21, 2009 at 12:13 am in reply to: Marleen’s NO SPOILERS ‘Recommend Me Old Who’ Thread. #92235 JamesTCParticipant Who cares? I want it off the ship. February 21, 2009 at 12:05 am in reply to: Marleen’s NO SPOILERS ‘Recommend Me Old Who’ Thread. #92229 JamesTCParticipant So is anybody getting ‘The Rescue’/’The Romans’ on monday, it looks like a bloody good set. February 20, 2009 at 2:06 am in reply to: Latter-day Simpsons episodes that DON’T totally suck #92186 JamesTCParticipant Episodes I thought were very good from later seasons (where exactly does later seasons stat, I started from 17) “Marge’s Son Poisoning” (17) “Girls Just Want to Have Sums” (17) “The Monkey Suit” (17) “G.I. (Annoyed Grunt)” (18) “Marge Gamer” (18) “Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind” (19) “Dial ‘N’ for Nerder” (19) Looking at that it seems like alot of episodes that I really enjoyed, well how about if I compare it to season 4 – “Kamp Krusty” “A Streetcar Named Marge” “Homer the Heretic” “Lisa the Beauty Queen” “Marge Gets a Job” “New Kid on the Block” “Mr. Plow” (My favourite episode) “Lisa’s First Word” (Easily the best flash back episode) “Homer’s Triple Bypass” “Marge vs. the Monorail” “Selma’s Choice” “Brother from the Same Planet” “I Love Lisa” “Duffless” “Last Exit to Springfield” “So It’s Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show” (As much as I hate clip shows I like this if not just for the shaken Duff can joke) “The Front” “Krusty Gets Kancelled” Oh my! February 20, 2009 at 1:42 am in reply to: Worst lines ever #92185 JamesTCParticipant Then you are not a Red Dwarf fan and should be burnt immediately. I never noticed it either. February 19, 2009 at 9:37 pm in reply to: I tell you what… #92176 JamesTCParticipant Oh now I get it. Tell you what, tell you what, it’s nine and a half thousand pounds. February 19, 2009 at 1:57 pm in reply to: I’ve just bought a DS… #92152 JamesTCParticipant You can’t get anything in April, the days leading up to April 10 should be saved for meditation. February 19, 2009 at 12:39 pm in reply to: Play.com Top 10 T-shirts #92148 JamesTCParticipant So the line was – Lister: Lets get out there Rimmer: Lister you’re ill, just relax and leave this to us If you ask me, I think they improve it. February 19, 2009 at 12:35 pm in reply to: Latter-day Simpsons episodes that DON’T totally suck #92147 JamesTCParticipant HOMER Don’t worry. We won a dental plan in the strike of ’88. (indicating scar) That’s where I got this scar. Flashback to the strike. The employees protest. CARL What do we want? EMPLOYEES More equitable treatment at the hands of management! CARL When do we want it? EMPLOYEES Soon! Pan across to Homer at the snack cart. HOMER Where’s my burrito? Where’s my burrito? Where’s my burrito? (awning collapses and hits him in the head) Ow! February 19, 2009 at 12:12 am in reply to: Latter-day Simpsons episodes that DON’T totally suck #92127 JamesTCParticipant Homer driving through New York with the clamp on his car is very high up there. February 18, 2009 at 11:25 pm in reply to: Sci-fi & Your SO #92122 JamesTCParticipant Yes but you can download it too. February 18, 2009 at 11:21 pm in reply to: Sci-fi & Your SO #92119 JamesTCParticipant It is on 4od for free. February 18, 2009 at 11:16 pm in reply to: The Simpsons: New Title Sequence in HD #92115 JamesTCParticipant I think the best description is – Ganymede & Titan: The only Red Dwarf website that gives appropriate context to call people “fucking cunts” or to use the word “cunting” as an adjective. February 18, 2009 at 10:49 pm in reply to: Latter-day Simpsons episodes that DON’T totally suck #92106 JamesTCParticipant Out of the first 12 or 13 seasons of the Simpsons I would say I only hate 1 episode and that was the one in the woods with the caravan, ‘Call of the Simpsons’ I think it was called. February 18, 2009 at 9:13 pm in reply to: Hello, I’m new here #92088 JamesTCParticipant No, “human life” is a prequal to “after life”, frankly I find prequals just don’t work. February 18, 2009 at 4:54 pm in reply to: The Simpsons: New Title Sequence in HD #92060 JamesTCParticipant David X Coen is fantastic in the commentaries. The commentaries on The Simpsons and Futurama make those DVD’s worth a buy, it us why I payed ?13 for ‘Benders Game’ the day it came out, I would not have payed that much just for the main feature. Does anyone know if they are making more Futurama? Hopefully not more films, seperate episodes work much better for both Futurama and The Simpsons. February 18, 2009 at 4:03 pm in reply to: Bobby interview on MacBreak Weekly #92054 JamesTCParticipant I have not seen that, thank you! February 18, 2009 at 3:38 pm in reply to: The Simpsons: New Title Sequence in HD #92051 JamesTCParticipant Nah, when Homer was making Mr Burns’ breakfast and he put the milk on the cereal and it lights on fire, it is not an explosion but it is still rather random. February 18, 2009 at 1:29 pm in reply to: OWN UP #92028 JamesTCParticipant Erm, it was you. February 18, 2009 at 1:26 pm in reply to: Latter-day Simpsons episodes that DON’T totally suck #92026 JamesTCParticipant The one where Homer becomes a football referee was brilliant (and not just because my Dad is a referee). I quite liked the episode were Marge gets addicted to PC games, I think it was a World of Warcraft skit (one not as good as South Park). February 18, 2009 at 1:00 am in reply to: Oh, you know what’s just hit me about Tikka to Ride? #91954 JamesTCParticipant Poetic Licence. February 18, 2009 at 12:37 am in reply to: Worst lines ever #91949 JamesTCParticipant Going to see Clerks II was nice, me a friend and 2 other people (who were quiet) in the entire room and it was on switch island (just down the road from where Lister loses his virginity in the future, I remember mentioning it to my mate as we passed the golf course and he didn’t give a fuck) February 18, 2009 at 12:33 am in reply to: Worst lines ever #91947 JamesTCParticipant I generally just buy a bag of sweets from Asda or something before hand, I don’t go the cinema much anyway, people piss me off, when I went to see The Simpsons Movie a guy shouted during the start “Spider Pig”, I wanted to stand up and applaud and call him a dick head but, well, I’m a coward. February 18, 2009 at 12:24 am in reply to: A further thought occurs… #91943 JamesTCParticipant >I?m a quarter Welsh Which quarter? February 18, 2009 at 12:13 am in reply to: Craig in The Mirror #91938 JamesTCParticipant So where did this hatred of Craig start? February 18, 2009 at 12:11 am in reply to: Dave: Cat Quiz #91936 JamesTCParticipant Same with me, 11/12 and it was on that question. February 17, 2009 at 11:33 pm in reply to: I had a dream…. #91930 JamesTCParticipant I feel sorry for ya Si, I can’t imagine that happening to me, the only time I ever went to hospital was when I was in Primary School and walked into a wall, slip my leg open. I have fainted though back when I was in High School, I said to my Dad “I can;t go into school I feel sick” and he told me I had to (I am not one to just say I am sick for a day off). I got through the day and in the night in Bootle Town Hall we had an award evening, I got one for attendance, they made us all stand up for 45 minuted as they praised some kid, I was really sick, nothing to lean on and was stud up for 45 minutes infront of about 700 people (possibly more), I fainted, I woke up about 40 seconds later with loads of people around me dazed and confused, the nest thing I remember is being in the car outside Sainsburys. So there you have it, the one time I faint and it is infront of 700 people including half of my school. Rather ironic thinking about it, I fainted while getting an award for attendance which caused me to have the next day off, my first day off High School. February 17, 2009 at 1:37 pm in reply to: Sentences you never thought you’d hear/say #91871 JamesTCParticipant “I don’t like the lime green in the hand, I just don’t see the point in a green hand”, just minutes ago when I was stopped to take part in a survey, I hated the logo, a big lime green hand.
