Most of the others I’ve seen on YT seem to be imitating the Radio Show version – still great, but not as good, IMO. Actually, that’s not a bad idea. The Corgi model has a hole on the underside to accomodate for a small plastic stand. Bet you could glue a corkscrew in there. In all fairness though, it must be a tough material to light, being so reflective. April 18, 2009 at 12:44 pm in reply to: BtE merchandising #97401 p2p_productionsParticipant Just noticed this. In the picture on the right, there is a new Kryten action figure! It’s not the Sevans model, and I don’t think I’ve seen it before. On the left pic is that rather fantastic Kryten mask for anyone who missed it, and also in the right one is, I believe a Japanese fan next to the SFX mag. Cheers, Carl. “I’d love a Babycham”… in Charles Augins’ voice, of course. April 17, 2009 at 8:45 pm in reply to: Which Holly? #97335 p2p_productionsParticipant >Bill Bailey as Holly. April 17, 2009 at 8:22 pm in reply to: Which Holly? #97330 p2p_productionsParticipant SerieX: Episode 1: Holly has dried out, but when the crew attempt to reboot, an unexpected glitch forces his physical appearance to seemingly change at random. That way, we could get a hundred new Holly’s in one ep. …Yeah, Bill Bailey would be great! “Oh, uh, space weevils, blimey, ah…” etc. April 17, 2009 at 8:04 pm in reply to: Which Holly? #97324 p2p_productionsParticipant Yeah, Hattie’s the most logical choice now. I’d love to see her back, too. If Norm were to return, I wouldn’t be against it. Especially if they shared the role. Return of Queeg? Maybe. What about Jane Leeves, though..? Nope. But then to me, in the ep, they pretty much looked like inserted pages – the laminated look gave it away. Anyone else notice that Mr. Flibble was mentioned in the text? ;-) Oh, forgot to mention… I swear to you no word of a lie, when I got this, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was on ITV. Featuring Adrian Edmonson as Holly. April 15, 2009 at 7:27 pm in reply to: Alien 3 #96930 p2p_productionsParticipant Yeah, I’ve always liked Alien 3, but that might have something to do with the order in which I saw the films. For some bizarre reason, I first saw Aliens, then Alien 3, then Alien. Much like Doug with BtE, you have to admire Fincher for putting together a film like that, bearing in mind the constraints he was under at the time (they started filming without a SCRIPT). The story is mostly in keeping with the previous films. The visual design/FX are good. The music/sound is original/innovative. Overall, I have to say, I still enjoy it. Better than Resurrection, IMO. Though I’m sure the original concept of Vincent Ward’s ‘wooden world’ would’ve been more critically acclaimed – but maybe not as ‘exciting’ in sequel terms. If you want screen-accuracy, a reversable cover won?t do :) April 15, 2009 at 5:47 pm in reply to: That free gift that comes with the DVD… #96911 p2p_productionsParticipant >Would something similar to the 8 series DVDs be inappropriate? Wibbly wobby hologrammy stuff. …Perhaps some of the light bee’s internal mechanisms are chemically driven, or something, and therefore susceptible. April 15, 2009 at 3:12 pm in reply to: Wait a minute….this isn’t my fantasy! #96867 p2p_productionsParticipant It took the crew a while to accept the despair ink ‘reality’ before Holly intervened, so maybe time is a factor. I think if each character’s ‘perfect’ fantasy had materialised too soon, their immune respsonse would’ve kicked in earlier, therefore rendering the ink useless. Remember, this is the squid’s DEFENCE mechanism. The thing only needs a certain ammount of time to escape from a perceived threat. …Still not sure how Rimmer got infected, though. Sure, Kryten has organic components, but holograms too? April 15, 2009 at 12:34 pm in reply to: Running Times… #96817 p2p_productionsParticipant >which would suggest to me that this was how part one of a two parter would end. Makes sense. Thanks for this! Hey, no problem. Forgot to mention, there’s some Sergeant Stripes in there too. And one of those winking Yellow Smiley Faces on his left sleeve. Also, I think the keyring hanging off his left breast pocket is a hologram of a comet. If I can think of anything else, I’ll be sure to post back here. April 14, 2009 at 7:19 pm in reply to: Lister’s Jacket #96691 p2p_productionsParticipant >He?s good isn?t he? Flash by name, flash by nature. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-haaa! Think that’s the 27th CRS patch. The others are Apollo XIII, Rolling Stones, US Space Command, Garneau Scully-Power, & Tomcat. April 14, 2009 at 4:16 pm in reply to: The ENTIRELY Warranted Series X Speculation Thread. #96658 p2p_productionsParticipant >the series ends with rimmer waking up discovering he has dreamed the last 2 series while unconcious. Funny, for a brief moment, that’s how I thought BtE was gonna end. They’d wake up on Starbug with Hattie at the end of BtR and Series VI, VII and VIII would have been ‘all a dream’… Author Replies Viewing 50 replies - 251 through 300 (of 385 total) 1 2 3 … 5 6 7 8
